Keeping oils simple in my home. I find if it needs a marketing campaign to get the word out about how wonderful it is, then I avoid it. Only home rendered lard, tallow and grass fed fats in my home.

It's good to keep an open mind. I find it intriguing there's fermentation involved. If it's available in Canada I might try it.

I make my own ghee and use that for frying. The thing I like most about it is that I can get whatever I am cooking as crispy as I want within reason and it doesn't burn. And the price is very reasonable. $30 a bottle is a bit over the top for a pint of oil. I am sure there are people willing to give it a go but I am a tried and true type of person. I cook 99% of my meals from scratch and I still use stainless steel pots and pans.

Thank you very much for bringing this oil to our attention. You said that you could only see one downside, and that was the price. and as an affiliate, your word, I would expect you to be for the product. However, I’m not an affiliate. And after some research, I have found some more downsides to this. In the early days of computer software, that is personal computer, software, there was a saying that went something like this, “never use a program with version 1.0.“ This product has a rather similar stigma to it to me. This product is only, from what I could find out, two years old. it is trying to compare itself to oils that are decades old, centuries old, and even millennia old. This is quite duplicitous. Well, some comparisons don’t require long time periods to discover the good and the bad (for example, smoking point), there are other comparisons that need more time. I don’t think that a consumable product that has been on the market for only two years has had enough time to determine whether it’s good or bad, in particular in the area of health. If you look at eggs, for example, over the past several decades, whether eggs are good or bad, has vacillated many, many times. Researchers cannot even come to a conclusion regarding eggs, which have been around for millennia. How can independent researchers make any statements about a product that has only been on the market for two years? Also, in the products website, on the FAC page, it makes some statements about other oils that they are doing themselves. I remember my dad saying in the 1960s that automobile air conditioning was just too new of a product. It will be prone to breaking down. Yet, after 20 or 30 years, he had vehicles with air-conditioning. He said the same thing about power windows. I started and ended this comment with a little anecdote that shows my reservation to get in on board the train carrying this product. It needs more time. That is, of course, my opinion. ;) Again, thank you for the video. Lawrence.

Thank you for chiming in and you bring up valid points. However, I would like to mention that I first heard of this oil through friends of ours whose opinions and discernment I highly value. Only then and after some testing, did I decide to share this with my audience - and became an affiliate. I have turned down much more lucrative affiliate opportunities because I didn't like the product enough. Hope that makes sense ~ Anja

The eggs controversy as well as others are due to the food industry's shenanigans. Any wise food scientist could have told you the benefits of this food decades ago (and the cholesterol hoax). The true science never changed on that. As for oils, it won't take decades or years to determine this oil's benefits or issues of concern, all that's needed is a good food chemist to analyze it, such as Udo Erasmus. If negative or positive studies or articles appear, look first who the author is and who the employer or funders are. I personally trust nothing funded by pharmaceuticals or food conglomerates.
@Sourpusscandy9 ай бұрын
These days I’m suspicious of “a lot of science” I make my own ghee from organic butter, use avocado, olive, and sesame oil, depending on what I’m doing. I put either Udo’s 3-6-9 oil or flax oil in the green smoothies. Try any of that. The markteing you show looks like a lot of greenwashing.

I heard sugarcane is sprayed with glyposate then burned which drives the chemicals in further and why we should NEVER eat white sugar. So I'm not going to try this sugar cane product. Love your channel. Just found it. I grew up with many of your German recipes and love to learn more.

I wonder if this product uses by-products of sugarcane farming or fresh products. I was under the impression several years ago that sugarcane farming was ruining areas of Florida. That it was ecologically unsound and created water pollution and encouraged overgrowth of cattails which clogged the Everglades. Just not sure how Sugarcane production has evolved over the years but hopefully it’s better. I guess all farming takes a toll but is necessary.

I spend money on food and quality supplements, not cosmetics, manicures and expensive hair cuts or colours, or drugs (not saying you do) because I want to live a long and healthy life. Even on a budget you can do well if you are selective, buy in bulk, cook at home, grow a garden etc.

Because I know olive oil is not stable when heated and has a low 'flash point/smoke point, plus when heated it turns into a carcinogenous causing oil, I say NEVER use it in cooking. The only people who do this are those who do not know the facts of heating up olive oil. I use Ghee more than any oil or unscented coconut oil. I do have a little bit of sunflower oil that I cook tortillas in but when that is gone, no more Sunflower seed oil. I just think of all the oils that have been vilified over the last decades and cant help wonder if in a few years that 'seed oils' will be a good oil again. I remember when coconut oil was an enemy, but now it is the best. Same for Palm oil. If you use Palm oil please only use Palm oil if it does not decimate the natural habitat of any animal. I buy Palm oil from Healthy Traditions and it comes from Africa. Also, it is important to understand 'how' an oil is extracted. If chemicals are used (commonly used to process Grape seed & Conola) then that oil should not be used. Any oil or any product for that matter where chemicals are use to manufacture it should be avoided. But lets keep our minds open to clean, non chemical processing or oils.
