What a wonderful color the broth came out. You may have to buy another small freezer just to keep your veggie scraps in since your freezer will be full of beef next month. Blessings to you Bev great job well done. 🙏 ❤️ 🙏

Don’t forget to call the used appliance places in Ottawa to see if they have any freezers available In my experience, the appliances (or parts) are cheap, clean, and they work. Those employees know as much as appliance repairmen who come out to your house 👍

Dearest Beverly... You are the genuine homesteader. A hard work woman that I hope the younger generation is watching and learning. I'm 65 years young and still keeping house and a garden and preserving. I still can knit and quilt . Although all these tasks take a bit longer to accomplish due too rheumatoid arthritis. I have been watching you for years since the video you made on braiding a rug. God bless you.. You are a treasure!! Take care and be safe. Mary Suzanne.

So by using broth instead of water over more veggies you're making "broth concentrate"! Genius! Now You can use half as many jars in half the space and just add water when you open the jars to use. I was always hesitant to make broth because my space and jars are so limited. Not any more. Thanks, Bev

Thank you!... My wife and I watch a lot of so-called homesteaders and so-called country cooks, but you stand head and shoulders above the rest! You actually are what they claim to be. An old-timey, country homesteader. Thank you for continuing to show the real way to make broth and cook in an old-fashioned way! Love your content!

I'm blown away at how many scraps you have! That would have been overwhelming to me. 😂 I accumulate about 2 gallon bags of scraps and cook it stove top all day or until my huge army pot reduces by half. We don't can them because we use them too quickly. They stay in the fridge until I need them. BUT!!!! I'm so happy to see this video because I want to make some jars shelf stable for gifts! Thank you! Oh and your family must be worshipping at the feet of Mama! You are amazing and I'm pretty sure you're the standard that everyone is measured in your family! 😂

You can use purified water from the store. It's filtered and run through a reverse osmosis filter. The bottled water where I buy it, says suitable for medical devices. I just wash my water container every week with mild dish soap. (CPAP instructions say to do that anyway).

Well I was all set to comment on your broth then my jaw dropped listening to the ForJars Black Friday special. Holy moly! Anyway, I'm so impressed with your broth project Bev! I never manage to accumulate that much frozen veg, mine is mostly just enough to keep up with spent bones to make chicken or pork broth. In fact just tonight I have a batch draining through the sieve to cool, defat and then can tomorrow. Hope all that work didn't cause you any extra physical distress. Thank you for sharing that great project with us.

I've got two gallon size bags stuffed with onion skins, but I'm about to have a ton more as I chop and freeze the onions I grew that won't store for very long. I will be doing a bunch of beef and onion stock and ham bone and onion stock, and then save the rest until I've peeled and canned carrots and bought celery to can on the Thanksgiving sale (if they have one this year) and saved the ends from it and then do full on veggie broth. I've been making chicken bone broth off and on for the past few weeks. I've finally made it through all the bones I had frozen in the freezer yesterday. I don't know how you manage to lift those big canners when they have so much in them. I can barely lift my double decker All American when it is empty. Glad I didn't buy those forjars lids just yet. I was waiting until payday next Friday. 40% off means I can just about double what I was going to buy.
