I know some of Lonnie’s friends follow this channel so please reach out on IG if you want to check in on him (I can’t get into his phone). If you’re rude, you will be blocked. Whether others donate or buy things from the store or not, we will be okay financially but people are asking ways to support our family during this time. I think going 1-2 months without working would impact ANYONE no matter what their savings status is.

Oh honey. I don't comment often but I just had to tell you how sorry I am and that I hope Lonnie Jr. heals quickly. My son was on a ventilater when he was 16 after an anaphylactic reaction and it was the scariest 24 hours of my life. The fire department had to shock him and I blocked that out too. Lonnie Jr. and you and your family are in my prayers. Sending love from Wilsonville Oregon

This hits home for me because my son had pneumonia around 7 months old. We took him to the doctor 3 times & he was first diagnosed with an ear infection. The antibiotics didn't help he still ran a 103 temp & was rushed back to the doctor where they finally ordered tests. Sure enough he had pneumonia in his lower left lung. I had a doctor tell me that they've done everything they could for him. We could either go home or be transported to another hospital. My heart absolutely shattered & told him we was going to another hospital. He was transported by ambulance. There was 1 day where he was not waking up at all. The doctors couldn't tell me when or if he was even going to wake back up. They just told me his body was fighting very hard. We stayed in total about 2-3 weeks in a hospital before finally getting better. He's a fighter & always has been. He somehow even learned to crawl in the hospital. I cried along with you while watching this video cause I know how I felt in that hospital with my son. It's absolutely traumatizing still to this day. Prayers for you & your beautiful family.

My daughter, who is now 5, was put on a ventilator at 3 weeks old because she had RSV. Thankfully we live in Massachusetts, so we were rushed to boston children's hospital, where they saved her life. You never know how strong you are until there is no other option. I have two other children so I had to stay strong for them also. You will get through this and so will Lonnie Jr. Praying for you!

@@saturnprincess88 as a nurse I can tell you patients can become septic very quickly. I have seen patients lungs be clear in the morning and by afternoon chest x ray shows pneumonia and become septic a few hours later. If he had just had his wisdom teeth removed I'm sure his lung was clear and he had no illness or they would not have done his surgery. I wonder if any of the other children had recently been sick.. I don't understand why they think he will have a long recovery.. once his pneumonia clears he may be weak for a few days but children normally bounce back quickly. Praying he gets better quickly
@melissakresky91862 жыл бұрын
As a pediatric ICU nurse I've had so many patients go from fine (as in no symptoms of illness in anyway) to CPR in progess in 5 minutes from sepsis. I do think the dentists should've been much more proactive than reactive but from the time doctors and nurses outside of the dentists office became aware of his situation, they responded 100% appropriately and within national standards of care. It takes 48 hours for blood cultures to show what bacteria is causing the sepsis until then doctors have to take educated guesses on what antibiotics will work best

This is just gut wrenching. I can't imagine how stressful/ scary this situation is for y'all. Prayers that that full recovery is achieved soon. I'm also surprised that the earlier doctors didn't do blood work/ cultures/ antibiotics sooner. My mom is in her 60s and about to have her shoulder replaced. She was told that following surgery she would have to take antibiotics as a precaution every time she had dental work done. She thought that was kind of excessive, but watching this I understand what her doctors are worried about.

Just for the long run I want to say please take care of his and your own mental health. I was in the ICU for weeks as a teen (cancer related issues) and only years later did I realise how traumatising it was to me and my parents and we all went to therapy. It took a few years for me to realise. The whole medical stuff can be really hard mentally once you recovered physically. Sending you all the love and I’m really hoping for a quick recovery for him!
@cheryldueck3182 жыл бұрын
I agree with this. On the flip side, I went through a year of intense cancer treatments for stage 3 breast cancer. My kids were 5&7 at the time. We went through family counselling afterwards and had thought we had largely moved through the worst of it. Ffwd to this year, and I had significant injury, which has triggered a lot of underlying worries and trauma they experienced, and we are once again in counselling. I think, as they get older, they understand more of what happened and what it could have meant, and we have lost others around us to cancer, including my husband’s brother January 2022. It’s a lot to process, and I guess, like they say about grief, it isn’t a linear process. I hope you and your family are well ❤

Hey Stephanie. Keeping Lonnie Jr and your family in my prayers. I went through almost the same exact thing. I when to the dentist and so much happened I barely knew what was going on at the time but I was so ill and becoming septic. The pain of it all was excruciating. Within the same year I had another incident where I acquired cellulitis and mRSA and was becoming septic again. I was hospitalized for a while. I could barely walk, had horrible flu like symptoms, and had 6 surgeons work on me. It’s truly scary when 6 surgeons look at you with fear and afterwards tell you that they don’t know how I survived both incidents. I’m currently going through another episode but just please make sure to monitor Lonnie Jr for awhile! These illnesses often can induce other problems or cause flare ups. I’m a Med lab tech.

I cannot imagine what you all are going through. I'm glad you all got to the hospital when you did. I had sepsis in 2021 and it was scary because my white blood cells weren't dropping, they had me on 2-3 antibiotics at once, my kidneys were failing, etc. Glad Lonnie Jr is on the up and up. I strongly suggest talking to a lawyer who does pro-bono consults about that dentist. He should've gotten a blood test done. When I had mine removed, I was told if the pain failed to start subsiding or got worse, to come back in immediately and they'd give me antibiotics. Sending you all positive vibes.

You guys are in my thoughts! 2019 Christmas my mom had sepsis caused from a kidney stone. She also ended up on a ventilator. It’s was a long recovery but she’s still here doing great! I was there when they took her off the vent. I just turned my back but stayed in the room. Hang in there. It’s a marathon not a race. This experience is why my family took Covid so seriously we saw life on a vent.

I will say modern medicine is amazing! I hope our story gives u hope and strength. I was in the hospital for 2 wks n then had 7 wks of iv 24/7 antibiotics via a PICC line. CO2 is SO frustrating. What you described is the horror we went through in 2019 for my mom. Essentially the CO2 levels were poisoning my mom. It was similar in that my mom caught a viral infection that was going around, caught pneumonia, and her CO2 was waaaay off. Her blood pressure after intubaron was quite high and was scary. I’m sending so much love to you all. I have an idea of how scary this all is and how traumatic it is.
