I adored those VW Bug cars growing up! I loved them even more after watching this and seeing Britney driving one back when this first aired! I had a psychedelic poster on my wall of a VW Bug (a bright yellow one) and swore to myself that when I grew up I would have one! That of course never happened!! Now they don't even make those cars anymore. The nostalgia however still remains.

Ah, I LOVED watching this as a little girl. MTV really owes Britney an amazing tribute. The one they gave her when accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in 2011 is so incredibly insulting. In comparison to Rihanna and Beyonce's tribute, I felt Britney's was such a slap in the face. She deserves so much more recognition from them. But yet again, MTV has changed. It's not what it was back then. It was gold back then. Now, it's not even what MTV originally stood for.

I actually get kinda sad whenever I see old videos of Brit like this one.. The Brit that I see nowadays is a lot different, she doesn't dance like before and doesn't answer the same way during interviews.. Even back then, Jamie Lynn was already more important than her. Her shoot had to be down to 2 days of extra hard work in order for her to see Jamie Lynn's dance recital. This mv is about her life. She said that this mv was about having time for herself, and this mv is testament that her family made her not even have time for herself. This mv, omg, it's a song about not having time for herself meanwhile the production is not giving time for herself. And the production, omg, she basically constantly gets mixed up with different images of herself, that she even gets mixed up with different identities of herself. btw, Larry Rudolph is already managing her like her handler back then. lol.
