@@craigholland2274 It all depends what you're end goals are, right? If you want to make more in order to retire early, then jumping jobs makes sense. If you like what you described but it may mean working longer that's okay too.

I'm retired now at 56 with about $100K in passive income per year that will increase when 401K, IRA's and SSA become available to me in a few years. Passive income is from real estate and pensions.

In my experience, the people that jumped to private sector, 90% did worse in the long run. Those bigger salaries led to unstableness in employment due to unexpected layoffs and forced relocations etc. Especially with a family to balance, those hiccups can wreck the best laid plans. Sure it works out for many, but my anecdotal experience says that Govt or quasi-govt almost always ends in “slow and steady wins the race”.

The security of the federal government outweighs the higher salary from the private sector. In the long run, as you said, you will fair out way better. I'm happy to be a federal employee, especially as a BLack Man, it's hard to fire me.

No reason fo stay at a job for more than 3 years when they dont offer a pension. Most people will see an increase in income switching as opposed to the increase in salary at their existing company. If I remember correctly, it's statistically about 15% more

I’m 49 hoping to end the rat race by 60 with above $1M. I know money is a liability to be exchanged for assets with real value like real estate (properties for rent) stocks (dividends) bonds (interest) But, what is it with bitcoin? I hear a lot about it and I'd love to diversify.

In this world, the general public adheres to the conventional wisdom that a good job is the key to becoming rich, while a select group of billionaires has access to and operates by a different set of rules or strategies that are not widely understood or accessible.

Being unemployed and turning 39 has left me feeling lost. What chances for passive income do I have with $425,000 saved for an early retirement at the age of 50, $10,000 in an HSA, and a property that could provide an additional $200,000

I think what we need to realize is that everyone’s house hold is different.Personally I believe you can save your way to wealth. Other friends I know actually save money every day ( literally ) and with that savings they invest. The main goal is to be debt free. My wife and I have no credit cards . Love the channel you guys look so relax , and you definitely have the right curriculum because retirement is better when you’re younger. here in the United States people actually believe that social security is the pathway to wealth

They have 2 kids and retired young. I'm impressed. These retire early videos usually shows a single guy, not married and no kids. I view single retired people as failures because they really have nothing to show.
