Most commercial Indian movie songs are not supposed to be stand alone songs (there are exceptions and in the past were quite often randomly placed into movies). They are supposed to contribute to the story or move the story forward so quite often the actors will be emoting based on the situation that song is supposed to depict. I haven't watched this movie but my experience of Indian movies says that Aishwarya is probably emoting as per what's required of her character in this situation.

The least you guys can do is research about the songs you're going to react (like you used to) we don't wanna see you guys sitting there and assuming stuff that isn't true.. (Aishwarya not being involved LOL, she was acting her part!) The objective of every indian song is not to be fun or catchy, many are linked to the stuff happening in the movie which move the story forward in a sense.
