Other freedom fighters are Gopinath Bordoloi, Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Maniram Dewan, Kushal Konwar, Hem Barua (Tyagbir), Bhogeswari Phukanani. Other prominent freedom struggle unsung heroes from Northeast India are Major Paona Brajabashi, Bir Tikendrajit Singh, Rani Gaidinliu (13 years old Naga girl), Haipou Jadonang, U Tirot Sing Syiemlieh, Moje Riba, U Kiang Nangbah, Pa Togan Sangma. You didn’t know about the queen who fought with her child on her back because you didn’t watch Kangana’s Manikarnika. May not have been a perfect film but it is an “important” story.

This video is quite emotional but it does have a lot of historical inaccuracies. Eg. The Quit India movement did not lead us to freedom at all. The movement was brutally crushed. It was the Naval mutiny and the ultimate success of the revolutionaries to stoke dissention among the armed forces which forced the British to leave.

Quit India movement failed that is for sure. But they have to take it as a success as they have written the history since independence.

If they tell about naval mutiny they would not be able to glorify ideologies of non violence of Gandhi. And the satyagrahs done by him would have no meaning! That's why they have removed it completely.

I am really shocked n surprised bcoz it told very little about Subhash Chandra Bose who is the real reason of India's freedom not Gandhi or congress. And i didn't know anything about Biju Patnaik and his contribution to freedom struggle. After freedom congress n Nehru hide story of real freedom fighters. Shame on congress n Nehru Gandhi Dynasty.

For India's freedom the biggest reason were Subhash Chandra Bose and Azaad Hind Fauz. Sadly still in India they never credited enough. Even in our history we never got to know details about them. In India we call him the morden Chanakya. A well diplomatic and war tactician. Enemy of our enemy is a friend in disguise. That's what his principle .

How British colonialism killed 100 million Indians in 40 years Between 1880 to 1920, British colonial policies in India claimed more lives than all famines in the Soviet Union, Maoist China and North Korea combined. They do not teach us too much actually. She is Rani Laxmi bai.. Laxmi means abundance actually.. embodied as a Goddess.

Even despite having just watched a video that showcased how different ideologies contributed to our freedom, there are people apparently fashioning themselves as connoisseurs of freedom fighters thinking they are worthy enough to sort who is a good enough freedom fighter and who isn't. I'm sorry, but bluntly put - _aukat nahi hai aapki_ . People in today's India don't have an ounce of the courage our freedom fighters had back then. That people think that they deserve to vilify any freedom fighter with their nuggets of misinformation, half-knowledge or agendas would be laughable, if not so distasteful. India's journey to freedom was long, complicated and arduous. It was not obtained at the hands of one man or one event, but with a series of struggles sometimes holding even conflicting ideologies. The more you read about it, the more you see the picture unfolding and even sometimes going all over the world including Britain and America. So here's a crazy idea - you can respect all of them. You don't need to bring down another to bolster the one you ideologically agree with. Because all of them respected each other and were certain of their patriotism even if they disagreed. I may perhaps be old-fashioned and I'm not saying that they were perfect, but people should at-least have the decency to not disrespect freedom fighters during their historical crises. Chances are far more likely than not that your opinions have not been circumspect and thorough enough. And where would that leave you except as an ungrateful prick.

A PLACE WHERE THE MOST BRAVE WARRIORS WERE BORN TO INSPIRE THE FUTURE GENERATION AND TO CHERISH THE INDEPENDECE THAT COSTED MORE THAN A THOUSAND OF LIVE TO FREEE OUR MOTHER LAND. BEING AN INDIAN WE ALL TRULY LOVE OUR COUNTRY AND THE BRAVE WARRIORS THAT FOUGHT FOR US AND TO GIVE US WHAT WE HAVE TODAY.
