I’m not familiar with this film, but there’s considerable changes. 10/10

Yeah. Vancouver basically became a different city between '82 & '89 (when I last was there!

Unfortunately it was destroyed in 2010. You can see the house, abandoned, in 2009: www.google.com/maps/@49.0410925,-123.0687926,3a,75y,324.12h,84.41t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1soR8J-U1A8i2YvOmPS9izQA!2e0!5s20090501T000000!7i13312!8i6656

@@Reshoots if it was destroyed then don’t bother showing it. iI’s only interesting if we can see some original buildings to compare from the original footage.

@@neilgodfrey2669 Speak for yourself. It is still interesting to find the filming spots and how much things have changed. Even more kudos to Reshoots for finding the right shot without so many points of reference. Keep up the good work Reshoots, and ignore negative Neil!

Your very brave shooting at Main and Hasting nowadays! Fun to see old Vancouver. The final scene with the school bus was shot in Surrey. Keep up the great work.

Why? What would happen if I filmed there?

@@snappycattimesten As you could see in the video they edited out the pan on that one particular scene. That's the Carnegie community center. Lots of homeless people and drug dealing. They don't like camera or being filmed.

Yup. I hung out on that corner for a good 45 minutes, waiting to get a shot when nothing illegal was happening throughout that camera pan. It never happened. I had to piece together those two shots the best I could while both avoiding filming illegal activity, and avoiding filming the... least well-off of those also hanging around. I don't want to come off like I'm exploiting anyone. After carefully getting what I could, I still ended up being followed by a man for a couple blocks. I went into a cafe to gain a sense of safety, and he then approached me asking angerly what I was taking pictures of. After explaining what I was doing (and that it had nothing to do with the people there), and showing clips of the movie as proof, he calmed down and even became somewhat interested. Vancouver was a fun trip (for real, though, it was.)

@@Reshoots I didn’t know Vancouver had no go areas. Scratch that off my visit list (yes it’s not the whole city but I don’t waste time/money going to cities that are degenerate). Glad you weren’t harmed. What a weirdo that man was.

@@snappycattimesten Like any big city... LA for instance there is an epidemic. Fact is we can't all go along burying our heads in the sand and ignore. It has spread to my city (Surrey) , All the way into the Fraser Valley into the interior and even places like Prince George.

Another great video. A lot of Punk Rock related films have filmed in Vancouver. Out Of The Blue (1980), Ladies & Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains (1982), Terminal City Ricochet (1990), Hard Core Logo (1995) Also documentaries about the local Punk scenes in Vancouver & Victoria BC like Bloodied But Unbowed (2010), Somewhere To Go: Punk Victoria (2017)
