Cosmos is one of my favorite Autobots because of how unique he was. So I just had to get him. I checked like 5 Walmarts around where I live. And then the 6th Walmart, which was about 100 miles from where I live, had him. ONLY ONE!!! Hasbro knew he’d be the Holy Grail of the Velocitron line. Like real UFOs, he’s hard to spot. Was it worth it? For me, yes.

Honestly, the fact that we got a new Cosmos toy at all is worth the hype for me. It seems strangely appropriate since Hoist got a new mold in Earthrise and Warpath in Kingdom (which I have a copy of and man is he amazing), so it's fair game imo.

I think he feels solid. I think it’s worth pointing out Takara keeps their designers on the same franchise while Hasbro has a tendency to shuffle them around. It probably helps them work their magic when they’ve been working on TF for 3 decades versus 10 years Hasbro tends to keep the designers on for. I think Mark gave them the go ahead to make those molds with minimal tooling because it was unlikely they get back around to them for while and for characters like override I’d rather them take a good shot now then have to wait for years until the version I really want comes out.

Still haven’t seen a Cosmos in person but I got my Override today. I love the crisp paint job but her locked waist joint is a bit of a waste and her lack of a cyber key is deeply troubling.

My theory on the lack of mechanical details in the gaps come from a budget than time. Since a lot of these exclusives tend to be just repaints or minor retools. But the team wanted to make more accurate version of Cosmos and Override made them used more of the budget than what was initial intended for the team.

Mine too had a terrible arm but mine was unusable so I had to fix it, and the other one has loosened considerably since I got it, but I still enjoy the figure but have to agree he feels a little over hyped, thanks hasbro for short packin

@@Gei4Mei I put a little dab of glue in the hole where the pin was (on the back of his shoulder) and kept it movin while it dried, so it just gained more friction without freezing up the joint. You can just put glue in, wait for it to dry and then break the blue by moving the joint but it is more risky. As far as I know there are other things like paint or nail polish you can use but in my experience nail polish doesn't last like the glue

1:15 yeah...Nope! And see I was trying to be a nice guy! I found Cosmos at both Walmarts near me as the rest of the Veloctrion 500 hit the shelves. I figured "You know, I like the PotP Cosmos. I don't have a burning need for the figure. So why not take a pass on it. Make some other fan/collector's day. Nothing big, just wanted to share the excitement I get when new product hits the shelves. Only to see this scalping outrage. I feel like I just made some scalper's pay day instead of helping a fan enjoy the hobby.

Honestly, I'm glad I don't have any connection to this character and am happy with my Titans Return Cosmos. I don't mind gaps GENERALLY, but given he's so hard to find outside of scalpers, just how *simple* his engineering is really makes me question if he's worth the price, and frankly for me, he's not (off-topic somewhat, but I have the same problem with the PotP Female Autobots/Orthia limbs tbh. I ain't paying $600 AUD for Greenlight, not in a million years)

It's not so much about the hype as it is about just being able to own the figure, plain and simple. Cosmos doesn't show up anywhere, and it's insane to buy him online right now for a minimum of $70 when there is still hope that mild collectors like me can find him in a store somewhere.

Basically what I had been saying about this figure after it was released. Picked it up at launch just in case Id need him as a engineering sample of sorts if someone requested some 3d printed parts for it. It honestly is just a worse figure than both Magic Square UFO and NewAge Reconnaissance Max. Too much emptiness going on with the Legacy figure, and its way out of scale as far as the minibots go. He was one of the smallest in the cartoon, and for this toy, they made him one of the largest. Makes no damn sense. Just a rush job and def not worth the scalper price people keep paying. There has also been qc issues with it where there has been cracks where friction pins were hammered in, or where his head was assembled right and his eyes are not aligned and the paint is scratched. It's def a 3rd place bot for me. Ok for retail price. Not worth it at all for anything past that.

It seems like it’s really hit or miss, I think in particular the deluxes are suffering and it seems to be in the service of keeping the Voyagers exceptional. But there might be a breaking point where deluxes just aren’t worth it, especially if the price jumps up again

First, Legacy is becoming more and more disappointing with every decision made continuously with the excuse.. "cost cut" (which is kinda good foor me, because War For Cybertron was breath of fresh air and teh ammount of fun you have is almost infinite to your imagination .... legacy... has limit ... costs llimit xD) Second, When announced cosmos in leak, i was hyped, because i always wanted him... third, exclusive.... fuk you hasbro fourth, vehicle mode is not good and he looks like a flying trash can, and no one can wash my eyes from that. fith, prices up, my demand goes over the roof. if its not all perfect, then i dont want. (I am not gonna pay those crazy prices for a toy that is a TRANSFORMER and only have him as robot mode. I like and love to constantly transformers my dudes and dudetes) sixth... i'm gonna get the legends version instead, which i missed... as much as i agree his robot is really cool, and i do love it, but the alt mode, throws me off completely. AND, being an exclusive, I can never get him, becasue i dont live in USA, and also because by principle, i wont give money, even if i lived on USA, because i do not condone Hasbro Bullshit. FOR ME, i think Cosmos looks better as legends size. That is my opinion. So i will try to get that one, Titan Returns i think. Because i know i will better with that. But again, this all cosmos issue varies from person to person. So I am stating my opinion, and how i feel about it.
