6:07 The reason is a combination of routing and boosting. They boost 3 times filling completely the turbo bar, this gives more reserves than doing just "perfect" boosts, and they do it in a way that they can both break the "!" crate and obtain sacred fire.

Ah, yes put invisible walls on an area that doesn't have any walls around it, but make the big rock formation on the first shortcut have absolutely no hit box so you can easily go through it with blue flame, GAME DESIGN!

Yeah, whether one likes it or not, Out Of time is still a rough track in terms of its design, and detail. I would say, the 2 hardest parts about it is getting enough reserves to keep the sacred flames and the invisible wall making your "flame's gone" in the 3rd shortcut you take. I remember i had an easier time to keep my flame with the Drift engine when i did all Dev Times with the drift engine, in comparison to the Speed Engine, which i main, so it says a lot about the difference hah.

I feel your pain here. I remember doing time trials for this course and I had the exact same issue. The shortcut over that last bit is very finicky to hit. There are a few tracks I think that have this issue of some invisible barrier that requires a precision jump to clear. I guess the only consolation is that Beenox thankfully didn't include the giant sand worms that eat you on the sides of the track like in the original Nitro Kart. 😅

I'd like to explain the error to you and everyone else that you made at the Shortcut where you failed a 100 times. When you're there then you first have to jump against those blue Crystal Pillars but just a little, so straight, and then you do a U-turn in the air. But what you did was that you did a U-turn straight away and then you always hit the invincible wall because after you jumped you have to go into an angle, but you were going into it IN an angle. Either way you did it, congrats 😄

I think I figured out how to not hit the invisble walls on the ramp shortcut consistently - try going off the ramp with your kart touching the right side of the "bump" on the left the whole time you're on the ramp

for u-turn and airbraking change your buttons on the controller for ps4 . go to settings and change the button L2 in arow down . when your doing a u-turn or airbrake press L2 and square button the same time and relaese the X button (not to long) its a lot easier

@@blueheart9873 4 seconds is more believable but the point of the dev ghosts is that you need to play near to perfect to beat them so beating them by more then like 4 seconds is almost impossible because even if you are 1 second ahead of the ghost they will be noticeably far behind you and to get 4+ seconds means that you have travelled a fair chunk of the map more then the ghost. so basically if you are getting that big of a gap between you and the ghost you are one of the top 10 if not 5 players in the world and no offence but i doubt you are
