Straight up. I never knew about this collab and just stumbled across it. I can't believe how good it sounds.

Closest thing to Led Zep other than the real thing, 2 bad one of the Robinson bros pissed Jimmy off and cut it short. Love the Black Crowes no matter without Steve Gorman, who KILLED it on this short tour. Live at the Greek is really something special ✌️
@22julip6 ай бұрын
Not a big fan of the crows , but backing Page there ok , Jimmy is back on fire , the problem with not being a singer is he needs a solid backing band . He never could find that I think that’s why he hasn’t been more prolific as a solo artist Jimmy us still number 1 in my book

Some bands are lucky to write 5 catchy hooks in a lifetime. Page and Zep came up with about 5 per song. Insane talent!

I always loved Out on the Tiles (well, I love EVERY Led Zep song). It's great the Crowes played the whole thing here, it was such a tease on LZ live albums when they'd play the beginning riff as an intro into 'Black Dog'.
@tylerthompson18424 ай бұрын
I hate the live teaser lol. That’s cause Plant was scared to sing it live. He could’ve easily done what Chris is doing here, which is cutting the notes short in the chorus and thickening it up with back ups

One of my favorite Zeppelin 'hidden gems'- if there's such a thing. Jimmy & the Crowes really do it justice here.

i was only 11 when this show was played, and i didn't know out on the tiles. i heard the intro and thought it was black dog.. since then tiles has been one of my favorite tunes. crowes rock it hard.

The shows on 10/18 and 10/19/99 at the Greek Theater in L.A. were recorded by Third Eye Productions. I am lucky to have both shows on DVD. The performances are amazing and the recording quality is perfect.

I roll down to comment on Gorman and there's your compliment-you beat me by a year-LOL! He's always there except from '01-'05) and if they ever replaced him I'd bitch louder than Chris can sing until they brought him back. Hell, I just recently found out he also does sports radio on Fox
