Was the cable steering on that 200 doable? I'm looking at a seaswirl with a 225 cable steer

So that is a simple hydraulic system without a hydraulic power assist pump? I'm thinking of the same upgrade, very similar boat.

Todd Gatesh yes the steering wheel acts like the pump & selector valve, two tubes running to opposing sides of the motor, hardest part was running the lines.

Mobile 28 on the shaft? So how did the cylinder attach the the outboard? This is worse than a Sikorsky manual. Disconnect battery Remove engine Reinstall engine Reconnect battery.

Step 1 should be remove the cable from the engine, it's much easier that way.
