Outdoor Chair Build DIY

This video continues the outdoor projects series with not one, but two outdoor chairs being built from 2x4 lumber. These chairs are solidly built with a thick comfortable cushions. The construction is simple butt joints with outdoor pocket screws and deck screws. These chair pieces could all be cut at your local home center and brought home to be assembled!
With the deck stain on, these chairs will last for years just like the sofa I built for Mom five years ago!
The dimensions are as follows.
Back legs 2x4x33 (2)
Front legs 2x4x26 (2)
Arms 2x4x29 (2)
Side supports 2x4x26 (4)
Seat base sides 2x4x29 (2)
Seat base front and back 2x4x24 (2)
Seat slats 2x4x24 (5)
Angled back support 2x4x25 (2)
Angled back cross pieces 2x4x21 (3)
Sofa Base 72" long if you want to build it.

Thank you, I am very pleased how comfortable the seat is, I sit there all the time. Wifey loves the sofa, So she can sit with the dog! Lol

Love it. It is the easiest one I have seen so far. I wish you'd make the cushions another color, but I know that is not the point in this video. Just could not skip😄

I really like your design and would like to build it. I am new to woodworking and DIY'ing and I was hoping you could provide a little more instruction on the process of attaching the seat base to the legs. At what height is the base attached to the legs? Also what are the dimensions for the angled pieces? Thanks

The side piece is simply screwed into the end seat base. They sit 14 inches at the top of the seat from the bottom of the leg. 15degrees I believe was the angle I used. If you check out the description of the outshoot chairs video the size for everything is in the there. Thanks for watching I’m very glad you got value from it. Really love this design. I would like to built these to go with my pallet sofa. Are the dimensions listed for one chair or two? I am asking because of the (2) 2x4x33 and (2) 2x4x26 dimensions. I am new to woodworking so I wanted to make sure I was cutting the right amount.😁 Also how many 2x4s did you buy?

I got them from overstock.com this spring. I believe they were 26.00 a chair.
