I’m glad they worked for you. Pairing smart life “plug” products to the app never works for me and I do have the 2 GHz system. I’m about ready to throw all the devices in the trash.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with pairing your smart life "plug" products to the app. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer's customer support? They may be able to help troubleshoot the issue or provide a solution. It's always frustrating when technology doesn't work as expected, but don't give up just yet! cnl

I like the idea that you can control regular "not smart" items right from the phone. This way you don't have to re-buy you lights and appliances to get the modern convince.

Yes it is like a cheap retro fit option for any dumb items!

Love the concept, but like so many of these “smart” devices, it won’t pair with the phone. Followed instructions 100% but no luck. Tried it several times, rebooting the HBN plug, restarting the app, etc. Very frustrating.

First, make sure that the HBN WiFi Plug Timer Outlet Switch is properly connected to a power source and that the device you are using to set up the plug is connected to a stable WiFi network. If the device is not properly connected to a power source or WiFi network, it may not be able to establish a connection with the HBN WiFi Plug Timer Outlet Switch. Next, try resetting the HBN WiFi Plug Timer Outlet Switch by pressing and holding the reset button on the side of the device for at least 5 seconds. This should cause the blue LED light to blink rapidly, indicating that the device has been reset to its default settings. If you still cannot get the blue blinking light to appear, it may be possible that there is a problem with the device itself. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance or consider returning the device for a replacement. Overall, setting up a WiFi plug timer outlet switch can be a bit tricky, but following the instructions carefully and taking the necessary troubleshooting steps should help you get the device up and running in no time. cnl
