Why you make it swinging?

The swinging allows the center of gravity to be neutrally balanced. I initially did not have the cieling mount "swinging" pivot and it placed a lot of torque on the fixed cieling mount I had had at the time. In the long run it would have put a lot if stress on the fixtures. As an added bonus the swinging mount decreased the torque on the rail wheels which allowed it to slide better.
