Gosh your videos are like warm hugs... Your comfortable demeanor and voice, the high quality footage, the natural scenery, your wife and friends and the lovely conversation... And ofcourse the hands on look at the fish and the resulting dish. I gravitate to you videos anytime I am feel stressed or anxious. Thankyou so much, I have no doubt there is A LOT of effort that goes into all this behind the scenes in terms of equipment and setting up cameras and flying to locations etc. The results are fantastic!

I love your videos, compared to others that do catch and cook too. Anyone can do a catch and cook video; however, the way you explain how you catch, your methods of how to fish, your knowledge of foraging, and the way you cook is so intriguing and enticing. I'm learning from your videos, that's what makes me so interested. I'm learning how to cook through watching your videos! Keep it up, I want to learn more from you.

HERRING oyakodon! This is one of those dishes that really got me to bite the bullet and buy a REAL rice cooker. I could eat oyakodon breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I LOVE the method of dropping the panko fried protein (chicken in most cases of course!) on top of the first layer of egg, so you can bind everything together for ease of transferring to a bowl when you drizzle in the top layer of egg. This is a very, very interesting take on it, and I'll have to contemplate adding this to my list of potential experiments in cooking. Thank you for inspiring me!

It would be awesome if you did more episodes in Alaska and British Columbia. These are great. It's fascinating to learn about herring spawn, and how different marine life is harvested. It's good to support sustainable seafood. Also, if it is possible, you should go to the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, where they have so many lakes, to try fishing there, and forage for wild edibles. Thanks so much for the excellent content. Cheers, Taku and Jocelyn! #TakuTuesday ✌️🎣
