I use epoxy on aluminium. Works like a charm, even fills some little damage

JB has steel in it, probably not a good thing to use for this.

Epoxy is used in all sorts of boatbuilds and so is polyester resins ,only in the hand of un skilled Amature does it not stand up it’s in in the prep
