My favorite's are: Budget : Mora Bushcraft Black. Premium: Lionsteel M4 (M390) It takes some reprofiling to make it work as it should. Hi-End: TRC Mille Cuori (Vanadis 4 Extra) + Survive knives GSO 4.5 (CPM 3V). My edc is a Manly Patriot (D2). I also love my custom knives made with forged Ballbering steel. that steel performance,is second to none. Outperforms CPM 3V on edge retention easily (almost 2 times more) while having the same toughness and even better edge stability in my experience. The only knife that I would get if I could, from all those shown here, is that Marauder Knife and Tool at 1:23:07 Not for the looks, but because I know how a great knife design looks, when I see one, since I'm more of a user than a collector, since I was raised in the mountains of Crete, where knife is status here and people don't go crazy if you have a fixed blade on your belt, they do though, if you don't!

For the sub 100$ range: Have you tried the Terävä Jääkäripuukko, and around the 100: something from Joker knives in spain? The Jääkäripuukko is like a Mora you can't break. And from Joker i got the Nomad: N690, convex and and one of the sharpest knives out of the box i ever bought.

Bushcraft blade is the blade you choose to satisfy your specific needs in specific zone you enter like as desert, jungle, highlands, woods, … So it’s up to users budget, accessibility, experience, size, gender, priority, habits, wisdom, even statistics preferences and many more factors.

I had BHK make me a woodsman pro in aebl, looks incredible! Been very responsive. However There is a warp in the blade, i contacted them and they said send it in if youd like, so i appreciate that (warping can happen to any company so by no means is this a complaint)! I just was wondering your thoughts, does a warped blade effect the toughness at all?

Some of these knives will serve you for an hour or two, but are definitely not for Bushcraft at any real level. Rounded spines, cr chinese steel, hollow grinds, these are for people who might make a sharp stick to cook hot dogs or marshmallows. Maybe a short hike, or a couple days of car camping.

This is very interesting and you two guys are reall passionates :) BTW, the 3rd knife is not "bushcraft series". It's the Kansbol. It would have been nice to add the name of the knives in the video itself because sometimes we can't even figure out the name when it's too uncommon. I know it's in the description, but still... :) And it was a loooong video. Each segment should have been a video by itself. It's hard to keep focused for that long when there are so many details and info.

Bushcraft, survival is just marketing. Anyone that was raised doing outdoor activities before youtube. The one term was wilderness survival. . Some how the knife companies marketing division figured you call something survival you could make more money. So they built over done knives just incase someone actually uses it. Now Bushcraft knives are survival knives that are actually designed to use, at least some. I guess my point is don't worry about marketing and labels. Figure what you want to do. Then get a knife that does it well.

@@1800moonSugar no I don't agree with most of that. Tell me what survival skills aren't part of bushcrafting? Different tools have different functions but no one knife does everything good. This is an old man story about knives. About 70 years ago two kids got two different knives. One guy got an original Mora with the wood handles the other kid got a Canadian knife. 70 years on we still argue of what is better. Truth? We just agree my Canadian is better. Why? My friend would have to admit that with his better rifle I killed and processed more Cap Bufs than he did. The term “bush craft” is for me a new thing and I don’t understand why it’s important to beat a knife up to make fire wood. For me having a knife that could clean a horses hove was important. And if absolutely necessary hammer in a shoe nail. To be truthful. Idiots picking a knife blade they will never use is the same topic as what caliber of rifle is the best. My answer will always be the same. A Canadian 5” and a 9.3X 62 bolt rifle. Yes I’m a FUD but tell me how good you can gut and process an elephant or a hippo and don’t bring up the ulu.. carved a whale as well

Nessmuk designs for bushcraft is stupid, IMO. The Nessmuk belly is made for skinning, which anyone who calls a scandi a good skinner is not a hunter. Along those same lines, it's weird how Cantenbury makes his entire line of knives all scandis even though a few of them are specifically called skinners. Absurd.

I've never understood the 'hype' around Winkler knives. Every single one of his outdoor tactical knives looks like it was made by a beginner! Boring design, simple materials. There's nothing spectacular or beautiful about the steel, the handle scales, or the sheath fittings. When I started making custom knives over 10 years ago, my worst knife looked better than any of these Winkler knives. Winkler's history is nice and all, and it's fine that he made a tomahawk or knife here and there for SEAL Team 6, but that doesn't mean his knives are worth the hype.
