YES! This is the first comment I've seen that matches what I think. I love their chemistry but they can be overly goofy sometimes, so we can't get these deep, thoughtful responses; and Cait does dominate the interviews.

Aside from Sam Heughan's good looks, there is gentility that emanates from this man's demeanor which is rare in today's actors. I believe this is what makes him very unique in today's actors, he does not possess the cockiness that many actors possess after they reach a pinnacle of success. Truly this is the most attractive trait this person emanates during interviews and it comes across on screen. Always a pleasure to listen to and watch. A rare soul. I am sure he will be blessed with much success in his life and it is deserved.

Agreed with you I watch all the series so far, Poldark, succession, etc, but this is just a superb serie, & yes Sam should win awards for his work, it was so real at almost the end of series 4. I was orwerwelmed with anxiety, I thaught how ridiculous . I usually never watch series ??? you have to much time waisted in between, but this time I was told how good it was , I was able to watch all the Episodes one after the others, & well at the end it just got to me , some of the parts become hard to watch, like jamie being whipped & later raped, was just agonising. it was so humiliating, I must admit english in war, all over time ares very cruels, I seen what they did to the Autralians Aboriginals peoples while Colonising , the Americans Indiens, the scotts & manies others, they can be ruthless. Sorry

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about her being calm! Usually an interviewer is either ill-prepared (has never seen the show, doesn't care, etc.) or they're fan-girling and giggly because they're so nervous. And in both cases they tend to ask the same clichéd questions. I always like it when this girl does the interviews!

This young woman could teach other interviewers a thing or two...she asked very informed questions and she listens. I agree with many of the comments about his co-star...I don't watch any interviews with her because she dominates every question and he's such a gentleman that he lets her have the floor...although he would have to wrestle her to the ground to get it back...which he wouldn't do. He's a master at using his facial expressions to get his message across and the only other actor that does that, in the cast, is David Barry....which he pointed out as his favorite also. When he offered his body to lord John in return for being a father to Willie...it was priceless.

There must be so many points where the actors just crave an interview like this, where their work is seriously considered. I love watching Sam and Catiroina in interviews, but so many of them are silly. They are always gracious, I don't know how they manage. This was terrific, thank you both.

I am in love with "Jamie". My infatuation with Sam is slightly unhealthy 😅 He's gorgeous, intelligent, and brilliant actor. You can see it in the way he processes his character, scenes and true connection to who Jamie is. He just melts me. I will say he is riding that fame wave hard! He seems less than humble these days. I told myself I would never get sucked into another series but it hooked me with the great actors and emotional investment that the actors had with each other. I read about the battle of Culloden. A lot of Scots lost their lives (over 5,000) and English only lost a little bit over two hundred soldiers. Some history is just so sad to read. I am thankful for series which opened a lot of historical stories of Scotland, England and America.

Sam mentions Jamie is dying and "something about stars"... I think that's when he finds Claire in 1945..the ghost. Diana has said that Jamie's ghost is about 25. He had promised her he would find her. She urged Jamie to find her in a voice over. The flowers that Claire picks at the stones are forget-me-nots. Just my ramblings. God Sam is such a beautiful man.

What a wonderful interview! He has it all, doesn't he? God, whomever he ends up with is going to be one blessed woman. I do think he was pulling everyone's leg when he talked about the "stare." He and Caitriona have both said that they are fully into their scenes, so much so that they are very real to them in the moment. They are deeply committed to portraying their characters as honestly as possible and let them take over. Jamie and Claire DO really love each other in the persons of Sam and Caitriona.
