Given how puzzle-y this game seems, it must’ve been a bear to film as a 3-player playthrough. Keeping each of the different players strategies, buildings, equipment tiles, and bonuses straight must’ve been exhausting. Well done and thank you for all the effort you clearly put into filming this playthrough. Enjoy your upcoming trip to England!

Another excellent playthrough video -- at this point, your playthroughs are up there with my favorite KZbin content. Keep up the great work!

You are my favourite youtuber to explain rules. Thankfully we have similar taste in games

At 40:42 the yellow player pressure applied by +1 with the baseball bat. So they become technically a 4 They should take 3 tiles + 1 broken equipment. (because they are a 4 now) Or am i wrong in this case? What is the point to apply the pressure in that case?

Unfortunately, it's been too long since I played this game to remember the rules enough to answer your question. Sorry about that!

meh, too much upkeep for my group. there are video games exactly like this that are better. it’s seems like a great game if you have the time and patience for all these moving parts but i see a lot of work to be done for a board game. cool tutorial as always.

Love this game, thanks for the play through Jon! Wish you could see the deluxe version, but the retail version is probably better for videos.

I've heard about it, but never seen it in person. A friend picked that one up up at an action I believe so maybe I'll play on it someday :)

I just picked up the Limited Collector's Edition of this and the Under Water expansion. I loved watching this and ordered 6 sided die because I saw how valuable that was. I'm very much looking forward to getting and playing this. Thanks for this excellent playthrough.

That looks like a pretty fun game. The generic "microchips" bother me though, and why on earth would you need a microchip to repair a hacksaw?? I'm really hoping Council of Four holds onto its slim lead to win for next month.

Council of 4 did indeed win and I'm planning on filming the playthrough early next week :)

I know its been ages but im planning to get this and i have a question if u remember the game enough. Do you think "Repair Equipment free each round" is overpowered, should it be house-ruled to cost more food or sth else to balance?
@JonGetsGames4 жыл бұрын
Honestly I haven't played this game since I recorded the video and no longer remember most of it so I can't speak to specific parts.

Hello, are you playing with the Outlive base game and the KSE Stretch Goals pack for Outlive combined? Excellent video! @JonGetsGames
@JonGetsGames5 жыл бұрын
I believe this only had the base game components in it.

I personally like how meaty this game is with all the various things you have to keep in mind between getting supplies, managing your heroes so they don't get in each others way, keeping an eye on your opponents heroes and intentions as well, and the sort of set collection elements as well. Excellent playthrough as always.

@Jon: Thank you for uploading this video. I was looking forward to this one. I have to watch it sometime this week. I saw your brief overview of Outlive in variety blog and i got an idea that I would like this game. However, if I were to choose either this or Agra, which one would you suggest? I know both are different game, but my collection doesn't allow to have more games at the moment. And I play a lot of 2 player games if that helps to give suggestion
@JonGetsGames6 жыл бұрын
They truly are very different games, and unfortunately I can't comment on Outlive at 2p yet. I do know that Agra was abit odd at 2p, you can check out my review to see my extended thoughts there, so I think overall if 2p is mostly what you are targeting then Outlive may be the better pick. I personally think that Agra is the better game, and I would be much more excited to play that if the two options were it and Outlive, but this is largely due to my personal tastes being more in line with Agra.

Thank you for another excellent play through. For some reason the “white player” looks yellow.
@JonGetsGames6 жыл бұрын
You aren't wrong, the actual color is more of a cream. I went back and forth about what to call it, but decided I didn't want to say "cream" over and over and that white would be close enough :P
@samiamagainagain6 жыл бұрын
JonGetsGames Ah, I see. Kinda between yellow and white then. On camera, it just looks like yellow to me.

This game is heavier than I thought.

I had that same realization when I played it the first time.

Your play thoughts are generally good, but you gesticulate way too much, and its really annoying. I want to focus on the game and not on your non stop waving hand and fingers.
