For Kota, they could have just as easily said UA has a merit system that mirrors schools in the America allowing grade skipping, or do what some schools in Japan do for low numbers which is adding students from other years into the same class to make a full class. Another thing some schools do is merge middle and high schools together in an "elevator" system where middle school students head straight into the next year. Who knows, a lot may have changed in the 8 year time skip. All in all, I think people are way too hung up on the unimportant details.

Although this ending is way more satisfying, what I will say is weird is Kaminari and Jirou, and Kirishima and Mina (can include Ojiro/Hagakure and Mt. Lady/Kamui Woods if you want to add side side characters) not being confirmed either. They are the pairings that were the most heavily hinted at in the series after Deku and Ochako. I think the only solution to this would to have made the ending more fleshed out like others said, rather than presenting it to make the fanbase satisfied. Cause it would be hard to fit all these pairings in the ending. Deku’s dad is also someone we all wanted to see, especially since Horikoshi promised. It’s great that Jirou got her other earphone jack back! Eri most likely rewinded her, or there was some other medical procedure. I wish Mirko got rewinded too, though. Whenever a character lost a limb I thought “it’s okay, Eri will rewind him/her.” Especially given how many years have passed and her progress in that time. Not sure if Aizawa has his leg back, there should be no reason he doesn’t. I ship Todoroki x Yaoyorozu, but I can assume they got together..😢 That would be asking too much though LOL.

The thing with manga publications is that sometimes due to chapter publication issues in whichever magazine its being published (namely, a limit on page count and time constraints), endings often end up getting a rushed, shortened version initially before the volumes add in more detail due to having more time. I used to be really into the Pokemon Special manga as a kid, and I remember when a few of the final chapters came out for the Gen IV arc endings in the magazine publication, they left out a lot of epilogue as the author was on a comical time crunch to get the next generation going. I was really upset that it just abruptly ended and I didn't get to see the aftermath of the conflict all of the characters just went through, or if I did, it was rushed as hell. MHA having that exact same issue is literally 0 surprise, though I was admittedly out of the loop and thought the author just made a very *bizarre* choice to basically write the main character out of relevance in a way that doesn't really feel satisfying instead of realizing "oh wait, this was the chapter-by-chapter serialization, not the more complete version typically seen in volumes". Ending salvaged... but still kinda mid, tbh.

Deku was STILL shafted.. Stop man. He's literally considered a legend and is seen as a myth by that kid he meets in the final chapter. This is actually a fitting conclusion for his character if Deku is to be quirkless. Don't get me wrong i do wish he kept ofa in some form but the story pretty much hammered it home that it's purpose was ending afo. The only thing I’m unhappy about with the ending is bakugo being #15 on the hero’s list. And no, I’m not a giant bakugo glazer, I’m just a little shocked because of how much he did in the war. I think he should of at least managed to get into the top 10. Deku faces death and receives damn near fatal injuries for just over a year and his father doesn't call him, email him, send him a letter, or come home to visit his son. Deku never mentions him, Inko only mentions him once, and the only info we have on him is he works over seas and has a fire breathing quirk. It's strange. It's like the author was omitting him on purpose. It just seemed like the Author had plans for him, but changed his mind and decided against it.

This extra bonus pages was amazing and I was happy to see Deku and Ochako have there moment in the end. To be honest I wanted to see a little more romance between them like maybe they hug each other and the hand holding didn’t felt like romantic a lot but I know it’s there way of expressing their feelings to each other, and I’m glad they became more closer/ together at the end. Also seeing these bonus chapters and seeing the characters new looks and designs, Horikoshi have to make a sequel of MHA this still have a lot of potential for more storytelling on Deku, Class A and the other heroes. Plus i believe there will be a sequel cause I remember online they said they planned on making 10 MHA movies meaning there’s more to come. Or if Horikoshi plans on making new characters and focus on them, then hopefully it’s Deku and Class A kids that would be cool if he does that idea, plus Deku would help his child and class A kids become hero since he’s a teacher at UA. I just hope Horikoshi does make a sequel on MHA that continues Deku and Class A story as adults plus if he does take this route then he might be the second manga writer to continue a main characters story as adults since Dragon ball z (idk any other manga or anime’s that have done that beside dragon ball z). But i wouldn’t mind the sequel focusing on their kids to become the next generation of heroes so I hope Horikoshi gives us more MHA in the near future

This is actually one of the only times in the entire manga his shit personality has punished him besides failing the provincial license exam (but even that wasn't a failure because he got to retry and pass right after). It is a shame that *direct* consequences for his shitty behavior took a bonus chapter after the series ended. It also shows how little he's grown despite all the characters and his fans glazing him. Besides that time he saved Deku and giving the worst apology ever, his personality never really changed. All that changed were how characters reacted to him. Ugh, I hate him so much. It still baffles me to this day he is so, so popular.

Personally, I dislike the ending change with Deku x Ochacco. For one it feels a bit too much like fanservice. Plus them not getting together in canon was fine, fans of the ship still had plenty to go off on and imagine them together afterwards. Plus it seemed like it would be fitting for Uraraka’s (admittedly not as well developed) goal of maturing and separating from her romantic feelings. Sure she could persue romance in the future, but her not getting with Deku in the future would cement that as her arc. I also think that Horikoshi would’ve been smarter to refrain from confirming a main ship, in big fandoms the loud and ‘toxic’ shippers are testy. Now that a main ship is official there will likely be annoying fighting between shippers. And I know people love to throw the gay ships under the bus, but in my experience it’s often some of the straight shippers who instigate problems as well. I just know part of the fandom is going to become a minefield, and after we just had all this nice calm. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to stay in my small bubble within the fandom and stay out of the shipping drama.
