The video capture doesnt help + 4K Laser Projectors with high contrast are amazing now even at ~1500$ And "Next-gen" with ALPD 5.0 will literaly improve every aspect of laser projectors. Brightness , contrast , Color reproduction...

I prefer projector because they aren't as harsh on your eyes and personally my eyes are a little sensitive. With a projector, the light is projected away from you as opposed to a TV that projects light towards you

i was leaning towards a projector because i thought it would be a cheaper option, i live in an apartment and it has the space for a large projection, but the prices are way to much might have to buy a larger screened tv during cyber monday or black froday

I advise if you ever get a short throw laser projector then go with a ALR screen. The picture quality is crazy on there. The 4k image comes out clear on it to. Mine came with led lights as well 💯 100 inch to there 120inch as well but 100 does the job

In those lighting conditions it looks entirely washed out. Those projectors are really only useful if you have a VERY dark room where you can strictly control the lighting conditions. If you are going to be using a projector in that bright of a room, you need to be looking at traditional projectors that can do between 2,000 and 4,000 lumens - and those are FAR more expensive than the short-throw ones.

when you're used to video projecting... you know the dark room is mandatory... even with a standard television or bulb powered projectors... the environment has to be dark for an absolute experience... it needs to be LED and Laser powered as much as the room needs to be darker than bright once you know these... you can never go back to standard screens.

Nobody is disputing that OLED TV's are the current picture quality King that is affordable for consumers. However, a projector provides immersion that even my 65-inch Sony A95K CANNOT compete with at all. Hell, even the IMAX screen at my local AMC theater in NYC is way more immersive than my Sony A95K.

For one you must have never had a decent projector because they're far from washed out they only look like that on camera. 2 I have oled tvs through out my house and the lsp9t in my cinema room. My projector costed me like only $100. It can connect to my PS4 and I can stream netflix and crave and a bunch of other crap on it with my fire stick or my ps4. It is small and because it is so affordable I don't have to be too concerned about it getting damaged when I am traveling with it overseas because it can always be replaced.
