As you can see on the video, the room is very basic, but if a bed and bathroom is all you want, it's OK for 2 or 3 nights. There's a late model motorcycle for rent for 350/ day. The trike from the accomadation to the port was 20 pesos, which is the correct price for less than 800 meters. OK, 30 pesos isn't much at all, but it is to them, so it's a demonstration of skin tax.

I have been travelling the Philippines 7 months now.The skin tax is not fun any more.alot lies and scams everywhere.better for me my girl go to market herself I stay in background and if we need transport she gets the price

Been to the Philippines many times even stayed a few months. View your stay like this #1 no matter what....You are a Rich American Even if your not. You only been in the country 1 day even if you lived there your whole life. Knowing 1 or 2 Tagalog words is nice But " magkano ito po?" How much is this sir? Asking for a ride, A item to buy And most other interacts When holding a Gopro Or cam on a stick screams new tourist with money Philippines is a haggle country And all the above stuff relates to this. When you can get a fair meal for 150p Just think for 500 ft that guy was going to charge you 200p Any airport / train station port in the world. The cost of items double Even triple You were on a main road And fit the stereotype of Above 40 white male going up a hill...I bet he watched you walk by
