In the UK, cameras were only allowed into the courtroom in 2022. Coverage is restricted to the judge handing down a sentence and explaining the reasons for it. I think the YSL trial was always going to be a circus though. Trials like these are what a Judge wishes for his entire career. So there’s no wonder he’s making lawyers write him essays or buy his lunch or grandstand… its what he wants to do and he gets away with it
