I don't know if you already know this tip. There is a great way for " caster characters " to increase their effectiveness. Just take magnum on ur hand before spamming abilities. It doubles the casting animation. And u can ad the T3 mod fortress on it to make it more effective. This helped me alot in ct15 spam 3 quakes 4 impales.

For any Pyros out there, if you're finding yourself struggling to survive. You can spec into the Phoenix talent to instantly be healed instead of dying once every 3 minutes. This saved me when I was pushing tier 8 but would lose the world exp on death, aft we getting this safety net I was able to progress world tiers fast!

I'm sure you guys will cover this in some sort of crafting video but it ties into combat... I've found that not simply disregarding green level gear can be huge in fine tuning your gear. Bringing a green up to Blue is fairly inexpensive and gives you the option of 3 mods bettering your chances of getting a mod that you really want or that synergizes your build than simply hoping for one to drop with something you want. Granted this method is probably not as viable in later world tiers or the end game, but at lower levels it really helped me in getting weapon types and armor pieces that had stats and mods I wanted or at the very least finding mods I previously didn't have. Having an abundance of weapons and armor drop that were at that world tier max that your currently on gives you some flexibility to keep your build working instead of relying on that 1 favorite weapon type with your favorite mod on it and it fall below your level or world tier level. The thing I learnt for this is don't be shy dropping a tier if a particular section is killing you. I think that locks your tier progression and then you can just go back to increasing it once you've gone past that section rather than wiping out all the progress you've made by constantly dying.

I played a Technomancer first and have just complated the campain this week. I have to say i spent most of the game feeling that without using cover i was just dead. But ive just started a devestator and oh boy cover is a thing of the past. Oh and for God mods, the one that changed my entire playstyle and got me out of cover for the Technomancer is the one that replaces your roll with a short range teleport. It really helps me get around quick in panic mode and has made monster encounters so much easier.

As a Technomancer that uses mid to long range weaponry, I actually use cover quite a lot, and that Hidden and Dangerous mod is a huge boon to me. However once I start my Devastator, I have a weapon with Stand Tall ready for him to liquify and use on everything.

something people might not know about combat is the skill tree what ever class you chose determines the drop rate for guns like the devastator has a much higher chance of getting shotguns as for the combat part build the skill tree to the way you like to play rather then following some guide for the best dps because you might not like how you have to play that for an example i wanted to be a tank but i also wanted to do damage i tried someone else build and was thinking "i like being able to take a hit" and i decided to make my own build that gave me the tankinis i wanted but also provided me just enough dps to actually be able to do something

The 2 most important things that have helped me were crafting and the skill tree. Middle tree helps a lot for the first half of the campaign while you are squishy and have fewer skills, then switching to top tree to put out max damage once you have the skills you need has made it pretty easy.

Play a lot solo and world tier 10 is my comfort zone. Absolutely love the community in the game. Have met chill players when i want to do groups. Love thus video. You will definitely help some out. Phase dodge is definitely a life saver for monsters that have a huge blast radius and the dodge won't get you out fast enough.

My way of currently dealing with mini-bosses is with tricksters last ability. If you also use the mod that doubles the skills duration, you can make elites immobile for a long enough time to kill them. I also like using slow trap with this, making it so bosses stay immobile for long enough to be killed.

One of the best ways to level up your wt is farming. One good place is cross the bridge do the run but do not put the bridge down then go back to the lobby and rinse and repeat. the enemies are fairly easy and you can increase your wt and gear to help with the ongoing sections. Even later in the game if you are stuck go back and farm again till you are stronger. The same applies in ct due to your ability to purchase weapons and armour from Tiago and other merchants.

I think the missed point about gear is to focus and upgrade those secondary stats. For example, Firepower-based Devastators should be looking for Close Range damage and Skill Cooldowns, rather than Skill leech or status strength.

Playing in a group of 3 is easier, than solo. Skills are good that's when there not constantly on cool down until the game drops the gear you need. Enemy NPCs, behaviour behind cover, is taken straight out of Breakpoint, they sit there forever. My favourite mod is Soul Devourer in first slot and Death chains in second slot, the first mod gives extra health on every kill. Great video

ONLY if they're appropriately geared, 3 man CT12 expedition need all 3 people to be wearing glvl 48 to run effective because enemy health scales up the more people, even in campaign it's the same. More players = more enemy HP

To move between cover, hit 'roll prompt' then whatever your 'cover prompt' is. You'll roll out and auto dive to the cover of choice. Very useful when used with the mod that replaces your default roll for a phase/shift step, giving you the ability to phase through enemies when rolling.

Haven't seen anyone post that, but there are two things about ironclad and cremators I've noticed and have put to good use. 1st off - if you can shoot cremator in his tank, he is pretty much done. It takes 2 hits I believe and is possible to do from his front. A bit annoying, but possible. Don't be anywhere near when that happens tho, he will explode and burn anything in his immediate vicinity. My fellow tricksters have a way easier job with that - Hunt the Prey, shoot the canister, gtfa. As for ironclads (and any opponent with armor plating, i.e. breacher) a melee strike (or any exploding barrel) will deprive them of all their armor platings. Again, the info is most usefull for tricksters with their Hunt the Prey but makes bursting them down a lot easier.

Liked this vid a lot. Been understanding most of this stuff the hard way and this vid reassured me I did the right thing when I decided to put all efforts into modding. I was ignoring it safe for additional mag and slasher until I got stuck in WT6. Then watched a vid of someone saying that it was much more important to change into whatever new weapon at current level instead of hoarding lvl 10 legendaries. So I did that and my progress was very little. Until I saw another vid talking about some mods including perpetuum mobile and decided to focus into that and, luckily, hot a weapon wity PM into it. Added killing spree and focused on mods to enhance twisted rounds, critical rate, increased the pralysis time of the slash and thats pretty much it. (Trickster) I was stuck in WT6, going down all the way to WT4 for most fights and now I'm finally almost hitting WT7. If this video were older I would have done this way before. But not a complain at all. Really good vid that anyone stuck in a world tier should watch. As for tactics, sticking to just 1 way of facing enemies gets me killed easily. I like to isolate bosses, use minions and/or cover to regain health and go back at it. Love to slash things upfront, push or stomp. Anything that slows them down enough for me to kill and move on. Cover is excellent also to plan ahead, especially when entering camps when there's almost always 3 to 5 enemies (humans) where I can get my first easy kills and keep planning based on where enemies spawn, wheress the mini boss, etc. But its been a hard road since the game launched. I'm a creative builder and I'm playing this just for fun and cause I'm a Final Fantasy fan and generally love square enix games and their stories.

I know gaining titanium to level up your can be a bit of a slow grind and it wasn't mentioned in the video to my knowledge but in the campaign if you kill the boss and loot it's body, you can reset the fight by getting killed and doing it over again. This gives you more loot to sell or dismantle as well as the material you need to level your items.

You can reset your cooldowns by dodging into the interaction. It will often reset cooldowns and cancel the action. Used it to stack shields as trickster

A tip for gear is to look for the perfect roll on blues as you are leveling. If you get an item with three stats you are after and an end game class mod it is actually quite cheap to level it up then upgrade it into the perfect epic which may even fit your build better than a legendary.

Dude...I'm an OG gamer and love this video. I've been gaming for 40 years, and was hardcore into raiding in Wow. All of these tips are soooooo important. So far, i truly think this is one of the greatest 3rd person shooters of all time. I will say that the game sometimes doesn't let you do any of this. The boss fight in "Payback" for example. Want to add nessasary mod. T2 mod called even odds. It gives 10 percent resistance for each enemy within 10 yards. Will make you much harder to kill. Exceptional use on trickster and devistator.

Try the single shot single bullet in the mag rifle varient with the Grand opening mod. Im doing 25.6k bonus damage every shot with this combo. Plus its an explosion so its great for clearing groups of enemies. It drops elites and alpha beasts in 3 or 4 shots.

+1 on perp mobile mod. Put that on a shotty and add anomaly rounds for days. Another must have is phantom dash imo. One thing I’d add to combat is that line of sight matters. If you’ve got distance mobs, duck behind something, and they’ll come to you!

i never use perpetuum mobile on my pyro, i run feed the flames and the mods Flame Grasper (FeedTF) T3 and Bullet Absorption (FeedTF) T1. The Flame Grasper mod that lets FeedTF absorb 2 additional enemies (Total of 3) and when paired with Bullet Absorption, we get 33% of our LMG magazine back per enemy hit. That's 99% of the clip back easily. i run them with Volcanic rounds for unlimited uptime along with Ash blast so i get 60% extra damage on ash covered enemies :)

For pyromancers, there are definitely better options that just running V-Rounds. You just have to find synergy between skills (cannot speak for other classes). For example, running ashblast with increased range and overheat with consume ash instead of burn. If im running T-bomb, ill tag someone first so the explode and kill the rest. Or eruption for elites.

Pyro is definitely a much well designed class from that perspective. On Trickster/Technomancer you almost exclusively have to take 'round abilities' if you want to do any sort of anything with those classes.

@@LegacyGamingUS i think my trick is to switch skills as needed that's the main thing I've been changing apart from just equipping the highest rated stuff unless I'm looking for extra health then i equip something lower rated. apart from that i keep switching from the "reflect bullets" or wtever to the "ground break" devastator skill. i use ground break on creature missions and switch to reflect bullet in the insurgent missions. last night i was also using the 40% boost to damage when golem was activated and i took care of the boss in the forest fungus area without dying at all the only boss mission i didn't die even tho i'm not able to dodge it's lasers i don't even know if you can dodge those lasers

Cover is the biggest one IMO. I'm playing a Devestator-trying-to-be-Warden on WT10 solo. I have yet to fight with a friend, and it can be painful in the Warden tree pre-Armor-for-dmg buff.

How much of this applies before you teach character lv 30 though. There’s another video floating around talking about playing through the story below WT 8 and waiting to hit 30 before worrying about your character build. As a solo technomancer I’m almost always stuck playing the back line as a sniper with gadgets if I want to progress - I just die too easily in short and medium range combat... tight combat spaces are not my friend :(

Toxic Lead gives 40% magazine back when killing toxic enemies and Perpetuum refills mag on killing shots when 35% or less magazine remains

Not sure if it's intended but if you have a second charge on a skill meant to target a single enemy like the devastators impale and you only have one charge left before it goes on CD, use the skill when no enemies are close enough and it will refresh that extra charge. Seems like an exploit to be patched out eventually so take advantage of it now I guess. EDIT: Also, this one is specifically for devastators... gravity leap, if not confirmed, goes on a shorter CD and is a great way to avoid taking damage from a big hit that would otherwise send your shit packing.

Be efficient with your farming. When you get done with an Expedition don't just sit around in town. Quickly check your drops and the shops for useful items. Salvage or Sell everything that wasn't useful. Throw the things you deemed useful into your stash, and get rite back to farming. If your build is functional you don't need upgrade RITE NOW. You can worry about that later. I have been in lobbies where players will spend 10-15 minutes modding out their gear every time they get a single upgrade piece... That is an entire Expedition run's worth of time! and if you end up getting another piece in the next run now you have to remod your gear again! Its better to slot in a bunch of items at once then one item at a time. If your build is struggling though then is an argument to be more attentive to upgrades.

Perpetual mobile mod is nice, but it's not "meta" there are ways to not consume ammo for anomaly rounds without that mod which gives room for way more DPS.

If you’re stuck in a lower world tier most of these tips won’t help you. In fact taking cover can hurt you more than help, if there are monsters and no cover then that tip is pointless. Instead they should have talked about how in your class skill tree your % damage nodes are multipliers and give massive damage gains while mod % boosts are additive. Should tell you to find a weapon with weapon leech to heal nonstop for any class and to put on an armor defensive mod or better yet the rejuvenation mod that is a tier II mod that anytime you heal gives you massive fire power anomaly power and huge armor boost. These things will help you kill things faster without needing cover and will make the game much more fast paced and in my opinion a lot more enjoyable.

There is a suppression system in the game though? If you fire at an enemy with a heavy machine gun for a time they become suppressed and don't move for a time. The word "Suppressed" literally pops out over the enemy like a damage number.

I’m very confused. He is making an anomaly build. Almost everyone is. He is using twisted rounds, with a LMG. He is using a LMG because it t has the highest mag size of any weapon, making it the best for twisted rounds.

Sometimes when I get hit while playing the Devastator im stuck in place for a second. Is that suppose to happen? I know monsters can apply status effects, playing the Devastator I tend to get hit alot and notice them all the time. It hasn't really been an issue until I got to world tier 8. Alphas and stuff can be relentless one after another leaping onto me. Also not a fan of the giant AOEs I end up in when shotgunning something. I try and immediately react and sometimes I still take damage despite having rolled out in time. I also believe occasionally when I take damage my game is stuttering. It's hard to say for sure because of how things like sniper bullets make us slide backwards or enemies attacks make us dodge roll backwards. I know when im walking around the game stuters occasionally, or running. I'm sure part of the reason for this stuff has been I have been in a party with a friend for my experience so far. Haven't played since Sunday so hopefully things have improved 🤞 I have been playing on PC.

How much does the dificulty scales in co-op? I was playing solo up until lvl 30 (max world tier) but a random guy joined my party. At first we melt the entire lvl but when we got to the boss fight it took us almost 20-30 mins to get one third of the HP... that was ridiculous

It's a significant jump with each player that joins, especially if your gear levels arent kept on par with your progression.

Hi great video I’m still playing through the story but have been clearing all side quests along the way like Hunter & wanted quests. My I’ve reached level 30 have level 39 gear and tier 12 also I am running technomancer and the skills I am using are freeze turret mini rocket launcher and mini gun. I’ve been running solo. My one tip is if you’re struggling a bit drop down a world tier level. Also with the techno use your strengths which is distance so burst fire assault rifles for distance lmg sniper assault riffles in general. Gear mods I like only two so far are trance dodge I think that’s what it’s called and dum dum bullets. Will for sure check out your mod you mentioned ❤️

I read a lot of articles that said the techno is a bad solo class but as a solo player and a techno main so far (granted, im only at world tier 10 so far) I find techno isn't nearly as hard articles say it is for solo gameplay

As a pyro, I spec into the Phoenix rising talent, that spares me on a killing blow and instead full heals me letting me get back into the fight. I did the whole campaign solo. Ended at world tier 13 and then all side quests got me to 15 and most were completed at 15 again solo. The Phoenix ability made it so much better, because I could afford to have an oh shit moment lol not sure if the other classes have an ability like it.
