Natalie H a libero is a player that wears a different colored jersey and they only play in the back row. They also don’t count as a sub. A libero is the best defensive player on the team. Libero need to know how to have good passing accuracy and be able to dig and read hitters, so if you want to specialize in defense, keep working!

I seriously love hitting! my coach put me on libero when i have always hated passing .
@mello61764 жыл бұрын
If you contribute to your team, your coach might put you on hitting. Even though you may not like it, training to get better at passing will prove that you are good and if you also improve on your hitting at the same time you may earn your spot on the front row. The girl on my team is libero just because she is really bad and fails on purpose because she wants to be on front row (she doesn't train for anything btw, can't jump, serve, pass, and for goodness sake can't hit because she doesn't practice AT ALL and I have no clue how she got on the team) but she has the worst attitude. It doesn't matter if you don't have the position you want either because you learn to love all positions. I wanted to become a setter last year but I was placed as libero and I LOVED it, then the next year I wanted to be a libero and I became a hitter. I love this job too, you just need time to adjust to it.

I got a question for an outside, you know how if you were in middle back and you stepped on the 10 foot line (i think thats what its called) it wouldn't count, but i saw that the outside didnt need to jump over the line. So does that rule not apply for outsides?
@annettes.47214 жыл бұрын

This year I started playing competitive club volleyball middle school, and I wanted to be a setter at first.. But when I made the team, my coach told me I was good at hitting. So I went with the flow and became an outside hitter, but I'm not very good, and my timing is inconsistent, so I def needed this. Though I really love hitting now, it's so satisfying to hit the ball. Thank you so much Victoria for this video! I know I'm 4 years late, but still so helpful! 🥺❤💕🏐

A great Point brought up was ANGLE on the outside hit. That's real. Because having a spacious angle could be the key to the next level especially if you're jumping high because most outside hitters are jumping same gathers unless you're left handed or right handed so being able to angle the ball off in an advanced manner will get it done vs the outside blockers

hello to my wonderful lefty outside hitters. love you guys, we're superior imo. as someone who's been a lefty outside for 6 years now, you basically do your approach starting with the opposite foot. also, instead of turning your hips towards the inside of the court, you want to face the pin and close your torso and hips to the right to get that core power. don't hook across your body, swing straightand swing all the way through, i promise you have room and won't hit the net. you want your approach to be from the same spot, bit instead of moving diagonal, you start where the 10 foot line and the side line meet, and take a straight on approach. have fun with it! once you nail a cross court shot, switch it up and try some line shots or feints. theyre really fun and add a lot of variation to your play!!

Supernova67 I would say to get a friend or maybe even a player from your school’s volleyball team and practice simple things used in volleyball. That being said, since you have your eye on the libero position maybe try lots of passing drills. Don’t forget to work on serving, hitting, and setting too as your future coach may put you in a spot you weren’t expecting yourself to do. Hope this helps
