Thats an easy good time for a family.👍 I remember going crabbing as a kid on the Mississippi coast. I begged my dad for a cast net when I was 7. He said you wont use that thing for 10 minutes. He bought me a 3' cast net and aive tossed one ever since. Im 50 now. Thats 43 years of fun.🤣👍👍

St Bernard parish. I think anyway, that looks like where I go crab off the road. Your channel is really the only one I can think of that shows the full range of fishing in Louisiana. Did you go gigging for frogs at night yet? Flounder?

Sure would be nice to go to a ditch and get crab. Love crab with butter. You guys so blessed to have crab. Probably would cost a mint to buy crab up here in Ohio. Used to be restaurants up here had all you could eat crab. Well that's gone with the wind.

Hey Jared tried Crabbing 🦀 an Shrimping at night near those 💦 Water Pipes. Use a Lantern 🏮 and your Dip 🥅 Net that's all you need and you might want to place a couple throw 🥅 Nets in there too. Nighttime seems to hold the Better 🦀 Crabs and the 🍤 Shrimp come out at night better. Also try Chicken 🍗 Drumsticks. Good Luck 🤞

When I would steam my crabs, the meat would stick to the shell. Based on a suggestion from a boil, I placed them apron up in the pot to cook. No stuck meat. A Christmas miracle!

What part of South Louisiana, I noticed we have the same last name(different spelling)... small world.. the only other spelling I've been familiar with are my city cousins with the spelling of Cerigne.. Southern Lafourche was home until about 10yrs ago..

Something we do is cover the crab in the basket with a wet burlap sack. It keeps the sun off the crab and keeps water dripping on them.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKSWhGpqatJkd6M Save the encrusted seasoning top shell, retain the mustard if desired, snap the small legs and squeeze the meat out. Occasionally dip a morsel into apple cider vinegar then touch the encrusted seasoning for a blend of flavors. Enjoy!

The guy was supposed to pick up his lines and trash when leaving. That's why it looks so trashy where ever people fish along canals in Louisiana. Don't believe me? go down to Point A Chene and look along the roads or around the water control structures. Not just there but every where. This is not from tourists either.
