Fall Catfishing from the Bank with SMELLY Baits (Meat Fishing)

Late fall catfishing from the bank. Fishing with smelly baits, garlic worms and gizzard shad cut bait. Fall is probably my favorite time to go fishing for catfish. The water is cold, the fish are hungry, and the bugs and boaters are gone for the season. What a great time for fishing. Thanks for watching!

How on earth have I not found your videos before? I just started catfishing last May and have watched hundreds of videos. I think i enjoyed this one more than any before! I have the exact same rods (and 3 of them), and very similar Okuma reels. Fishing here on the Snake River for catfish seems to have slowed way down, but im still hoping to get out a couple more times this winter (maybe for sturgeon too!). I'm looking forward to catching up on more of your videos. Thanks!!!

I’ve been told it’s wise to have a different bait for each cat rod until you figure the hot bait for the day. Apparently, the best bait can change from day to day with cats
@OutsidewithTom
@OutsidewithTom 2 жыл бұрын
Any bait is a hot bait if you put it in front of a hungry fish. Weather, water temp, depth, time of year, time of day, etc. all more important than bait.

But keep the videos up. I enjoy watching ur channel. Nice fish for sure. I have yet to try chicken in the fall. But I plan to. Not sure how well it will work, but works the best in the summer.

I am a bit jealous. I don't live near any rivers with sizeable catfish populations. Closest one is an hour away, and was very disappointing this last Spring. Headed to the Mississippi next June, so hoping to have a couple of good catfish sessions. I'm in SE Wisconsin. Liked and subbed. Yeah, you right.

Need to get some bells, brother. Nice fish. Looking forward to fishing in some colder weather next to a nice campfire. Just recently caught my PB cat, only a 15 pounder but now I'm.......hooked...on catfishing lol. Been a panfish/bass fisherman my whole life, always thought catfishing was too boring. But after reeling in a few 10 pounders, all I can think about is catching a bigger one. Not a fan of catfish eating, more of a CPR guy myself. I'm just there for the fight and the photo.
