Fun fact: The buzzsaw shark actually did exist! It's extinct, and the buzzsaw was probably just part of getting new teeth to the front of the mouth, but it existed!

Reminds me of Tokyo Jungle. You have a series of animals you can unlock by doing various tasks in a vague order. You eat things to survive with some arbitrary scoring. The only thing missing is having tons of little baby sharks following you.

That buzzsaw shark is based off multiple species of ancient shark called Helicorprion. The shark has a whorl of teeth, like a conveyor belt that constantly replaces the old teeth that fall out. They believe they could have used it to swim into large shoals of fish and wound them, then come back and retrieve the slower injured fish.

Sharks really are the garbage disposals of the sea. I remember reading about a great white that washed up and when they cut it open, they found: a license plate from a car, bits of a tire, chunks of wood, various fish, assorted trash, a smaller shark in 3 bits, and a whole baby hammerhead shark that was actually still alive. As a wise man once said "What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, an eating machine. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks, and that's all."
