In first one you need to sneak around Trickster and do not get spoted, in the third game you do the same with the scary witch lady (and thats only the end bosses, you sneek alot more enemies before that), in the second game you cannot even get near to the "boss" so that one is probably for a difrent list :P

While this is basically just a Flurry rush, the important part is the fact that weapons don't lose durability when you do this, so you can pull your strongest weapon out for some free damage and still have enough of that weapon to break over the guy's face during the battle proper.

Stealth kills are why I really appreciate when a game like Skyrim gives those character name tags when you look at someone from a distance. Stealth archer is definitely the most OP skill set in the game, but I want to know that's a baddie before I shoot them. "Let's see, is that by any chance just a normal miner trying to make a living in this mine? (Seems like you would run into one of those when you're constantly investigating mines after all!) Ah, nope, another bandit. Die Bandit!" I mean silly me right? Thinking that you would ever encounter anyone other than bandits or cultists or various monsters in all these mines! Except those 3 times that it's actually an npc waiting to offer you a quest. But they often respond to those first 2 or 3 head-shots with an "Ow! What was that for?! Hey, stop it! " So, no worries!

The fight with The End (an old sniper) in Metal Gear Solid 3 is a good one. Pop up out of the grass carelessly and you'll likely get a tranq dart through the chest. It took a while to finish the first time I played since the map was fairly large and working my way around it to get the drop on him was slow-going. I killed the final boss in AC3 by sneaking up to a building behind him, killed the guard who has a gun, took the gun and shot at him, killing him immediately. Felt very anti-climactic. Was supposed to go through the horde of soldiers he had in front of him, I think.

Jack the Ripper in the eponymous AC Syndicate DLC is a prime example of that. He is pretty much immune to all frontal attacks, can easily dodge all of your tools (he is also immune to the fear tools and the voltaic bomb). The only way to win is to lose him in a smoke bomb, cause him to go different way than you are, and sneakily wait in a corner to reach you so you can use the brutal takedown (which is FAR more violent than "Assassinate"). Do that three times and he will summon handful of goons (who, I can tell you, have unforgiving battle skills but have none of Jack's defenses). Repeat the sneaky brutal takedown one more time when you get to be alone with Jack again and you will be able to free Jacob. Because yeah, Evie and Jack are the only playable characters in the DLC. You cannot however freely switch like you would in the main game. Fun fact: the Jack the Ripper DLC events happened only a few years before the birth of Lydia Frye, Jacob's granddaughter and main character of the World War I sequence. So it is safe to assume that Jacob had a child who was very much scared for their father's death while Aunt Evie had to search for her brother, make sure Aberline doesn't betray the Assassins, disrupt the maddening effect Jack had on gangs, and make London a tiny bit safer for prostitutes (as safe as it can be when a serial killer is targeting them specifically).

I‘m surprised nit a single Sly Cooper Boss fits that definition. You‘d think in a game all about sneaking and thieving the boss fights would be less...fighty
@SyfyRules3 жыл бұрын
nah, sly cooper (at least the first one) is about revenge and him proving himself to the world. the stealth is cause he's a thief and he needs to REACH the targets of his revenge in the first place, once he's there, nothing beats taking that revenge with his own hands as for the later games...I guess he took more of a liking to violence than he admits?

Hi Italian here! Constantin from Rise of the Tomb Raider comes to mind. He is the final boss, so by the time you get to him you are leveled and geared up. Still, you have to stealth to beat him, no way around him. Unfair, but it is very thematic and coherent with the lore.

but that's not really stealth, sure you use the arena to your advantage, but the whole time wyvern is aware of where you are and tries to strike back until he gets too tired, stops for breath, and you drop a knife into his spine and land on top of it

There's also that first boss you face in Alpha Protocol (can't remember what his name is, but he's the terrorist's bodyguard); if you are able to get up close to him without him spotting you, you can just shove him off the bridge without having to fire a single shot. It's pretty tough, but quite satisfying when you pull it off.
