Luke mentioning the cows getting out reminded me of one my favorite stories about my parents dating. It was my dad's first dinner at my mom's house and meeting the parents (my parents met while away at college). They'd just sat down to eat when they realized the cows got out (fam of dairy farmers here). Everyone but my dad bolts from the table and out the door. My dad sits there bemused a moment, my mom goes "come on, the cows are out!," and then my dad very confusedly and unsure of what to be doing tries his best to help get the cows back in the field. Didn't throw my dad off his game and he apparently must have made a good impression, being a non-farm boy but still willing to chase some cows down mid-date, since my parents have been happily married 36 years and I'm here! Nothing says love like helping to catch some escapist cows.

From the images you've shown us from RDR2 (had to check that one thrice, kept typing R2D2) I have reached the final stage of game disbelief, being: "-Wait. Wait, that's a game? That people made? It wasn't filmed?" You'd think I'd be used to it after spending so much time roaming in the Witcher 3 (but it came out in 2015! I know, but it's holding up quite well, IMO) but still! Peak photorealism, added to the fact that you can't tell when a cutscene is over anymore (whait, why isn't he moving? Oh, it's my turn, okay)... I keep hearing people complaining about how technology keeps advancing too fast, but dude! Games are actual movies now! Of course, you still have the cartoony-looking ones to keep a balance, but the huge triple A games with hyper realistic graphics and stories are just mind-blowing! Sorry for rambling, it just blows my mind to think that we've moved from dots, bleeps and bloops to this in less than fifty years!

I am torn for Rdr2 to finally come to PC, because on one hand, I grew up on PC and know it best, but on the other I don't have a pc powerful enough to actually handle Rdr2 and the million mods that are inevitably going to make the game 300 more hours long. Godspeed to the mod creators, but I'll be over here in the corner vibrating with jealousy and an empty wallet. That being said, I did play RDR2 on PS4 and had a wonderful time. Still salty PC gets new weapons and such.

Red Dead Redemption not on PS4 and PC. Rockstar remastered LA Noire, now how about their best (of last gen). People want to play in chronological order, surely Rockstar knows that. Thru backwards compatibility, Xbox One players can play Red Dead Redemption. On PS4 I can play Red Dead Revolver, although it's been said it's not set in the same universe. LA Noire has John's hat, perhaps it's all one big universe lol
