Much love from Romania Buckin'. You're literally the reason I moved to the country side during all this corona stuff, and bought some land and forest, and my very first chainsaw, an ms 261 with a regular carb (yes, I like the old reliable ways). Worked on it a bit with some mods, been reading lots and lots of info on arborist site; I know a bit of mechanical stuff and I'll be honest it's the best time of my life. Every day I'm so excited to finish my work-from-home software job just to walk between the trees and take care of them, which includes cutting down old growth to clearing brushes. I wish eastern europe had old school McCulloch or Homelite available to find, but oh well.. Your kind family is my goal. Thank you sir.

We are adapting machines, if your not testing it, using it, exploiting it you adaptability will atrophy. But can still be brought back. It’s never over till YOU SAY IT IS. Use those mental gifts of making great sounding excuses to motivate your self to DO SOMETHING, something kind, help neighbor spring clean their yard, but not do it for them, but help. Buckin is getting good using that Eastonmade Log Splitter. Do you think that he prefers using it to doing it by hand? Do I remember him saying that it was slower than hand splitting? And the cost of owning one outweighs the benefit of having one. I may be wrong in my assessment of the Eastonmade Splitter, what do you think. Billey mentioned about getting one's heart rate up, at my age getting out of the bed in the morning gets my heart rate up. My usual ending, be kind to all.

the wood buckin splits by hand is more than likely easier and faster to chop by hand, on the other hand(excuse the pun), chopping up arb waste is a damn nightmare for me to chop, thus I purchased a log splitter back end of last yr. nothin as big as Buckin's but big enough for me. changed a trauma to be feared to a job to be got on with.

I just sent my weight machine out to the junk metal pile because it was taking up space. Not much more boring than lifting weights that produce no product. Granted you get exorcise and all that but when bucking and splitting wood you get to heat your home with what you produce during those long cold winters. Nice machine and I bet they are really proud of it. :)

Funny thing, but watching this makes me want to get back to swinging my axe real soon. Haven't chopped any wood since the cold set in. Just have to wait for the mud to dry and we're back at it. Love the efficiency of the machine, but have to say the noise would drive me nuts, and there's just something about swinging an axe ... Still, love to just watch you work at it. Better than TV!
