There was just confirmation that he really is "like that," as far as going on about the kinds of things he does in the way that he does. He probably busts out laughing a lot when talking to Conan. I think he just plays up the straight-faced thing on camera because the dynamic between him and Conan is funnier that way.

Jordan’s got a really good point at 2:10 there is some bullshit stigma about being alone and it really shouldn’t be that way, especially for people who actually prefer to keep to themselves more often than not, I didn’t know it wasn’t like that in Europe though very interesting

Since people are discouraged to go out by themselves, then when they've got nobody to go to a pub with, they don't go and so are stay stuck alone at home. Some people seem to not understand that this is a whole act. Jordan schlansky isn't actually like this. It's a well over done play on his personality. He actually did a reddit forum years ago where he discussed this started as friendly banter between him and Conan because they are very different but friends and the other producers asked if he could do a more emotionless version of himself for skits which he agreed too. If you watch the office cleaning skit when Conan 1st enters the office Jordan hadn't seen the cameras yet so greets him one way then realized it was a bit and you can hear him change his tone. The guy really deserves credit because he did an hilarious character often times wo forewarning and stayed in character
@Niberspace Жыл бұрын
The emotionless part is exaggerated, sure, but I don't think it's completely an act. I think he's learnt to behave normal (otherwise he would never be employed), but that the crew has told him to be more of his natural self in these skits.

Greetings from Tennessee. Mr. O'Brien you truly are a genuine funny guy. I haven't watched a video that did not make me laugh. My favorite videos are with you and Jordan. You set the bar sir.. Congratulations on your success..
