Thats the way it usually works! The therapist takes fake notes and looks at their calander to schedule you in for the next weeks $150... 45 minute session.. (The therapist needs time for a smoke or potty break every hour) The client basically solves their own problem.. ...a good book would solve most garden variety normative problems. +pinupwaallify No, in the video where a woman comes to help Jordan clean his office, the brief second he meets with the woman, you can see the real Jordan and he is a super nice guy. He smiles and his very not awkward. Then, the camera cut, probably to explain to the woman that it's gonna be an act, and right after, you see Jordan in his usual character. So yes, he has some weird sides, but they are just exagerating them to be funny!

It actually is an inversion of classic routines like Abbott & Costello, where the straight man is the audience surrogate while the funny man is the one who gets the laughs. In the original routine the straight man sets up the jokes and the funny man delivers the jokes and we the audience laugh because the funny man's twisted take on the world subverts our expectations. However, I would say that here the audience surrogate is Conan, who is also the funny man. Jordan then plays the straight man, yet he's also the one with the twisted world view. So Jordan sets up the jokes and Conan delivers the jokes, but the audience laughs not because of Conan but because of Jordan. It's a fascinating inversion.
