I think it was 2008 or 2009 when that whole thing happened. He was going to replace Leno and then they put him on after Leno for a while or something, they totally set him up to fail but I don't remember the details. Then he grew a depression beard and then the show "Conan" was born on TBS. I would say he's the most naturally funny host for sure, I don't know how much of this stuff is improvised or written for him, but Conan has amazing timing and delivery and all that.
