10:40 you can’t and you wouldn’t be able to. The 2nd port is a convenience feature to quickly change in between air brushes. Not to be used to paint with both and demand air at the same time.

I really would have loved to see them included the same selection of paint with this kit as well so you can get started right out of the box with premixed paints…. I only just watched your video yesterday on the battery version and I added it to my cart on Amazon so I can think about it and then this video popped up into my feed and I think for the same price that this one makes more sense to me… I don’t need to be that portable and the improvements on the actual airbrush. Make a great deal of sense….. I had bought one of those little cheap compressor in the hand attached directly to the airbrush kind that you showed in the last video and never was able to get anything approaching usable out of it so fingers crossed if I buy one of these Ovaga kits, I will have better luck

I'd never use two air brushes at the same time on this little on-demand unit. I'd cap the secondary line and just use the holder for another air brush. With quick-connect fittings, it's not hard to switch between a lower-end air brush for priming to a higher-end brush for finer work.

Can you post a complete assembly and disassembly of the airbrush, I cleaned it but the airbrush goes to paint mode now not dual😅

Sounds like you don't have your needle fully seated. Loosen up the needle lock nut and make sure your needle is place fully forward then tighten the lock nut back down. Also I have several airbrush videos detailing how to disassemble and reassemble them. Most airbrushes are pretty much the same as far as that goes. Check out my airbrush playlist.

Either one will work fine. Just depends on whether you need to be completely portable or not. If you will always be working from like say your work bench the this one would be great. Don't worry about the PSI. It's nice to have the higher PSI settings, but I rarely paint above 25 to 30 psi.

Hey Robert. You can use any airbrush with the standard fitting on it with this airbrush. As far as spare parts go. If you have an issue in the future, you will unfortunately have to contact Ovoga directly to talk to them about getting parts.

Hi Paul - could you perhaps do a video on cleaning the airbrush (i.e. taking it apart).... I watched your vid and decided to buy the kit but this airbrush does NOT come apart the same way as usual ones - the secondary trigger isn't directly removable!! so I managed to get the thing apart and then couldn't put it back together again! (spoiler alert: you have to kind of screw it back together) and apologies - I only noticed your affiliate link now - my bad...

I have the older airbrush and I found that the smaller nozzle resides securely inside the nozzle cap when I have unscrewed it. I have to admit, I'm jealous of you since I received the older version just last week and now, for the same money, you have a better compressor and airbrush! I wish I had known about this one sooner! From this and your previous video, that cordless Ovaga, had me peaked and torn. Totally new to using an airbrush, and like the idea of it being cordless, and that actual airbrush kit looked sweet and what I needed. Dual action, limiter, screw less head, and so forth. Yet, back then, I thought that self centring head is too itty bitty, compared to let’s say NEOECO SJ83, which is another budget friendly beginner unit with similar features. And of course, the needle chucking trigger guide, is fixed on, with the NEOECO. Then I read the few reviews on that newer corded version, and half mentioned a leaky hose, just like someone on here. That is a large number, and my other concern was parts availability, and from whom, as both Ovaga units are being sold by different venders, here at Amazon Ca. I think for my case that cordless unit would be just right, except for itty bitty, and the loose trigger chuck. Don’t get me wrong, as I like where and how this manufacturer is going by your relative two stories. Also, I should state, my reasoning for an airbrush kit, is not similar to 99% of you. I am retired and will be doing a woodworking side hustle, and have my ideas on how to add accents to some of the finished products. Why I wish to learn the use of an airbrush, even though I am a master painter by trade. I have used airless, compressor, and HVLP, taken them apart, and cleaned, and so forth, even to doing faux finishes. Where am I going with this Paul, basically, I will stick to the smaller cordless unit purchased from AliE, and practice my use and finishing with that. Even to trying out home recipes of thinners, cleaners, and your WWF trick ( as I am frugal as well and hate wasting money on too many commercial products, some of which where very toxic in my trade), I have researched here with this medium. Continue my practicing and research, and hopefully Ovaga will work out the kinks, by the time I am ready to get something better. Keep up the good work, and kindest regards.

@@RoadsAndRailsHobbies I went to the US Amazonia site, and wow, discount and further 10% off still active, and comparing prices to A Ca, still over $65 Ca cheaper, with the exchange rate and Ca duty and shipping cost! Contacted them in the US site, and they did reply the trigger chuck will be fastened on the cordless model, and available to purchase, though head is still itty bitty. Instead of spending $185+ on the Ca site, might consider the corded model from there, though waiting on a reply to some concerns. As for doing and uploading videos, …… hmmmm, even though I spent over 10 yrs starting as a wee lad in photography and pro, ……. naw! 🤮🤭Way too private of a person for one, and I know how much work goes into being a content creator, even though I have all the digital equipment. Being solo, that would encroach on my hobby of woodworking, and tech, and photography. I can only compare it to airbrushes the I have used. I have never used a Harder and Steinbeck ultra. But it is very comparable to Iwata Eclipse hp-cs.

I'm still happy with the older battery powered Ovaga pump you reviewed previously, but if I didn't already have it I'd look at getting this one. I also like the slightly lower pressure on the older unit as well (starts at 20psi) for priming Warhammer terrain and minis. Enjoyed the vid! Thanks!

Yes I definitely wish this new one had a lower pressure to start. They are both great kits however, and they serve slightly different purposes. I love the portability of the battery powered one. I have mine in a re-purposed tackle box with some paints and other accessories. I just grab that and throw it in my camper. Heck, this past November I was sitting outside of the camper in the middle of Fort Wilderness campgrounds at Disney World in Florida weathering some box cars while the family was at the pool for the day. Duncan Custom Airbrush (the KZbin channel) has a portable airbrush that apparently, he had a hand in designing. So I'm sort of torn. But I think I like this one better.

@kennyrosenyc I like this airbrush kit, but I'm not an airbrush guy. I just use one to paint models, so it's just a tool same as a paint brush. I'd someone is helping to design one then they probably know a whole heck of a lot more about them than I do. His very well may be a better kit than this one. But I don't know the price difference and that may be a deciding factor.

Here's a question -- have you tried using the Iwata with this compressor? Is that even possible to do? I'm in an apartment so noise is a huge concern for me, so I like the idea of the silent compressor and the airbrush looks fine, but I'd probably upgrade the airbrush eventually, maybe with the Hobby Lobby "Neo" knockoff of the Iwata. I also wonder if putting some foam padding on the bottom of the compressor might muffle the sound even more.

I got one of those really cheap airbrushes a long while ago and the air compressor was not as great (just single pressure setting that has trouble with the white vallejo primer) so this one is really tempting to get as an upgrade :)

This is the second airbrush kit that I have received from Ovaga and as you could see, I am impressed with their quality. Granted it's not Iwata or Pasche, so I don't know for sure how well it last in the long run, but it's also not hundreds of dollars either. I did not have an issue with the air hose that came in my kit. Now that I have seen all the comments with folks having issues with theirs, I wish that I would have had one that had a problem so I could have brought it to Ovaga's attention and let all of you viewers know. Any standard airbrush hose will work. I have a couple of Iwata airbrush hoses that I have had for years. They are 10 foot long. I bought them at Hobby Lobby. I'm sure you can get them off of Amazon. I have those longer ones, because I bought them when all I had was an air compressor that sat on the floor, so I need the length. Thanks for asking.

I just used a bit of pvc pipe tape around the hose screw parts right out of the box anticipating a leaky connection, so far its purring like a kitten. Is there any concern about how long to run it? Im having a good time learning airbrushing with this one i just got yesterday and since its tankless I worry that I might be using it for too long without giving it time to properly cool down.

It is supposed to shut down if it gets too hot. I hate to push it that far. I have had two hour painting sessions with no over heating problem, but I'm not running the airbrush constantly for that time period. There are paint changes and in between cleanings. Just normal use.

That's what they say. I don't have any way of testing the actual pressure, but it does push some of the thickest paints that I use through the airbrush at that setting with ease.

Unfortunately after a couple moths of light use my unit died on me and I provided videos to their Customer support but all they did was lie to me and show me pictures of someone elses order saying they had refunded me. Not the least bit impressed by these guys Paul, they even removed my review of it on Amazon. Do not trust this company.

Paul, so I just received the new Ovaga. Question, is the compressor suppose to engage every 2 seconds when you're idle with the airbrush? Cuz that's what mine is doing. Also, there a hissing sound at the compressor ports. Basically air leaking out and as a result the compressor never shuts off when I'm not actively using the airbrush

No it should not be kicking on unless you are using the airbrush. If you are hearing a hissing sound then there is an air leak. My suggestion is to see if you can tell where the hissing sound is coming from. Make sure all of your connections are tight, but not over tight to where it could damage the threads. If you feel that it may be coming from the air hose try and all of the connections are tight then try pushing on the ends of the hose where they are crimped into the connections. If you find it is the hose, contact Ovaga and see if they will send a replacement. Of course you could buy a higher end hose if you want or exchange the whole shebang. I hope this helps out. Please let me know what you figure out in case someone else has the same issue. Take care....

@@RoadsAndRailsHobbies Turns out it could be that the hose connector cap was too tight, but lemme elaborate some more. First I tried using my current Ovago (the previous gen) hose on the new compressor and it was still hissing. Then I tried the new hose on the prev gen Ovago compressor and that was hissing too. I tried a few permutations of this but with changing back and forth the hose connectors on the new compressor. Still hissing. I then finagled the crimped end of the new hose and I could start/stop the hissing (on old compressor). Tried new hose on new compressor and it was still hissing. I then noticed that the rubber gasket on the 2nd hose connector cap was shoved into the connector (likely I made it too tight). Made some adjustments there and got new and old hose to work on the new compressor CONSISTENTLY across both hose connectors on new compressor. That being said, it's likely that the root cause was the gasket on the hose connector cap was "off" causing the air leak. I'm still a little skeptical of the hose though I haven't consistently reproduced the issue anymore. Just FYI, there's one review on there Amazon page that also complained about the air leak. On another note the needle and nozzle were quite tight when I received the item. I'm wondering if that's the case with yours (or perhaps I just need to clean mine first)

Most definitely. They are both great airbrush kits. It just depends on your needs as to which one to get. If you need one that is very mobile where you may be painting where you are not conveniently close to an outlet, or you want one to travel with, then the battery powered one would be the one I would get. If you are setting up a painting area, or if you just want something to pull out and use once in awhile to paint something then I would get this one. You don't have to worry about a dead battery, just plug it in and go. Thanks for the great question. Take care.

Hey there. The air pressure is constant, not pulsed. There is a slight lul when you first start using the airbrush as there is pressure in the air hose that comes out of the airbrush a millisecond before the air compressor kicks on. But I always start spraying off my work surface anyhow so it doesn't bother me at all. And yes I use a quick disconnect with it. 3:45 not a chance in hell. Hooked up the same exact Gaahleri one to a small receiver tank and an accurate gauge.. these toys are at best 1 bar 14psi compressors on any of their settings. The buttons are a gimmick. They will do OK for 0.2-0.3 needles and thinned out paints. Forget about priming.

Hi. I was going to buy the neoeco sj83 kit with compressor. Now I saw this one and I don’t know what to do. I’m new to airbrushing. I have heard very good things about the neoeco and it has a ton of extra things; but, this one has me thinking because the compressor being 55psi and low noise seems great. I don’t know if as a new user would be better to have the option of different needles and all the other things the neoeco has and if that compressor (3 settings until 30psi) would be more than enough. This ovaga seems great, but, with just the 0.4 needle and no way of using others may be very basic? I really don’t know what to do. The rechargeable one looks cool too, but, I’m not sure if it will be dead in a couple years once the battery no longer works. Thanks for any suggestions

Just so you know if you were to buy the ovaga I get a kick back from Amazon. With that being said if I were you I would buy the neoeco if it has the good ratings as you said. Having multiple needles is great. This will allow you to use a wider range if paints. And when I'm airbrushing I am running between 18 and 25 psi on my compressor 99 percent of the time. So you really don't need the super high pressures. Thank you for watching my videos and asking a great question. I don't believe they have a website. If there isn't any contact information in the instruction manual, you can contact them through Amazon. Just go to the product page for the item you purchased and under the buy now tab is a link to ovaga where it says sold by. Once you click that link you can ask them your questions.

Okay question, I have the first model, the one he said was a bitch to put back together, I did a deep clean, and the air/paint button came out and don’t think I’m putting it back together right because I’m not getting any air pressure. Can anyone help me?

Yeah, putting the trigger back in can be a real PITA in any airbrush. It sounds as if you didn't get trigger in straight. The bar that is attached by the pin below the trigger has to go straight down on top of the air valve plunger that the hose screws onto. They can fold up if you don't hit that tiny plunger area just right. Best way to tell is to press down on your trigger. You should feel a springing action. If it just feels solid then that may very well be the issue.

I bought the previous Ovaga model based specifically on your video review of it. That was just last February and I love it! Now I see this new model and I'm pondering if I wanna get it or not. And it's roughly the same price as the old model!

Let me help you out. BUY IT. 🤣 I'm just kidding. I definitely like the portability of the battery powered one m, but this new one is sitting right on my workbench where I paint and it works pretty dag gone awesome. Having it right at hand and quieter than my quiet air compressor.

@@RoadsAndRailsHobbies All fair and valid points. I really did want to have an option of lower than 25psi on the new one, but I guess I can just revert to the previous battery compressor for that. The current Amz price is actually slight less than what I paid for the previous model (with the extra 10% off). I might just have to bite again. Curse your review (and thank you)! :D

I bought it and the compressor doesn’t work, it is brand new 😫. It was so complicated to clean it without any air at all… and it’s too late to exchange it since I bought it more than a month ago. I was thrilled about it but oh well, I hope yours all work fine 💜. Great video, thank you!
