The Series Finale of this epic Ovens adventure, where Greg, Joe, and Finn find more island life adventure, fishing, trapping, catching, foraging, and cooking! PLUS, Greg meets up with an Alone Alum from Season 3!
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

The spider is a Giant Lichen Orbweaver-Araneus bicentenarius and while it does have a mild venom for its prey, it isnt considered dangerous for humans. Its most likely female as well😍

Most spiders have venom, but the overwhelming majority are considered harmless to humans as the venom usually only affects invertebrates. A group of small spiders in the family Uloboridae lack venom glands completely, so are the only non-venomous spiders.

Hey Greg just a friendly tip, when picking mushrooms you dont need to worry if you take all of the mushroom, because underneath the forest floor is practically a gigantic area of essentially mushroom roots, and no matter how much you take, it will always grow back, it is a fungas so their is no need to worry about taking to much👍🏻

I'm a ORMB watcher that on a previous episode, I stated that we had a Beluga Whale surface right next to our boat back around 1985. It surfaced laying on it's side looking right at us for several minutes. It was close enough I could have reached out and touched It. We were just drifting in the cove behind Waadah Island Neah Bay Wa. fishing for a possible Irish Lord when it happened. A very kind person tried calling me on it saying that there are not any Beluga Whales in our area. And If you check the reported sightings she's got a very good argument. But I want to state my sighting again and I actually have 2 friends that can back me up. Just remember, there's a lot more things out there then people think they know about. So don't say never when it comes to our oceans.

What a great video! One quick comment about the missing prawn traps. When there are extreme tides, it's not uncommon for crab traps to float away. This can happen if the line gets wrapped around itself at low tide and then lifts the trap off the bottom at high tide. Big tide swings also bring strong currents. I've learned this the hard way and found my traps floating over 2 miles from where I set them. Light weight traps are most susceptible to this. So, your traps might not have been stolen. You never know. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge. Cheers from the Southeast Alaskan rainforest, Greg Chaney PS I loved the cameo Alone appearance at the end.

Hi Greg. I grew up in New York city (In the Bronx) and fished from some really slippery jetties. The trick to not slipping on the rocks and bashing your head on one, is to put on a thick pair of sweat socks over your shoes, and walking on them as Flat footed as you can, in order to increase the amount of footprint on the slippery rocks. This will increase the amount of friction or traction on the surface of the rocks, giving you a better grip on them. I really enjoy your videos and would love to go fishing with you sometime to learn your casting method lol. Take care and stay safe Brother. Semper Fi Ooorah.
