It's not the people in law enforcement who decide what is the first priority. It starts with other politicians. In some states they wouldn't even allow the police to do anything a few years ago when those riots were breaking out and they were burning everything down. Law enforcement doesn't have much say in what they go after. You had Jeffrey Epstein hanging out with politicians. It makes me wonder how many higher-ups are involved in this type of stuff and that's why it's not taken very seriously.

Also, a lot of times the police arent given the correct information from dispatch. I’ve seen that way too often. They just recently (within a year or two) changed the system for levels of urgency. It used to be where it would just say urgent only. In the case that pushed for the change, they weren’t told that someone was being actively murdered so they didnt know they needed to get there like yesterday. I feel like that could have been the issue here. I can’t imagine many police officers, who are fellow human beings, would ignore this call.

You should listen to the Darknet Diaries podcast, episode 93 "Kik". It's about a chat platform like Telegram where predtors and exploitation material is rampant problem. This problem has several factors to it . But one of the biggest, I've come to understand, being these apps are often so incredibly understaffed to the point they don't bother to regulate certain parts of the app communties. We're talking few dozen employees (IF THAT) vs. 10's of thousands of users (that's a single community alone). That's not conducive to any remotely decent oversight. So it's honestly just 'lawlessness' run amok in these chats with no one keeping it in check.
