pcie bus size will not effect ALL rendering characteristics. it might make loading take longer or create occasional hiccups when you need to re-fill vram mid-game, but once the data is "in the gpu", it won't need all that x16 speed to render it properly

The Google meet reminded me that in middle school, I had a 2010(I think?) MacBook Air, and I got it to run windows 10 using bootcamp. I would play Farming Simulator 19 for hours at ~20ish FPS, and the CPU core never going below 95C. Looking back, I don’t know how that thing survived for as long as it did

Had a 2019 MacBook Air during lockdown, at the time the only ‘gaming’ device I had. Did a similar thing, playing both rocket league and muck at around 30 fps where the cpu was always throttling at 100C on my bed. It is absolutely cooked and now only survives on windows 10
