@@Exilninja Well sadly, now its just me and my friend. I honestly think we are the only ones left standing(or flying). The servers are still amazingly up and running. We dont play often, but its still fun to go back and relive some old memories. Did we ever play together? My old gamertag was Delta Blue 419.

depends on the missile fired, if its active tracking then fire and forget, if its semi active then keep it in the circle

Oh I'm well aware it's no Sim. It's not nearly as realistic, for me it was much less arcadish than Ace Combat though. I found it's probably the best you can get as far as console goes. If you know something better for modern aircraft on console, let me know, i'd like to play it. I play a few sims on PC but atm im hooked on World of warplanes lol, It's a very simple game but addictive.

quick question...when you fire your missiles, do you need to keep the target within the weapon circle? or can you fire and forget?

Actually I played it a lot and managed to unlock all the copilot aircraft, I must've spent days in the Arena mode and cleared the game on Hell. Thing is there really isn't much more than pushing "right" to select a target and then just launching a missile and the air war is far too massive to be considered a realistic engagement most of the time either. It’s semi realistic. It has the same combat mechanics as DCS & Falcon but it flies easier than them (you don’t have to learn the plane’s manual to fly). It’s essentially a middle ground between Ace Combat’s arcadey feeling and DCS’ 100% realism-perfect for those who’re seeking to add a bit of “realism” on games like Ace Combat, but not ready to spend time learning real jet fighter mechanics.
