Hodge yard is in Carollton near Beltline and i35. FWWR comes into it from the West. The Yard and Eastward is DGNO. They come and go using BNSF's Madill sub from Irving and Dallas since the East end of the trackage out of Hodge yard starting East of Addison road is now out of service all the way to Plano. Got to see some really cool power on that line in the Southern Pacific days of operation.

Were usually just power swapping with other yards, some jobs will take 3 motors out and 3 motors back to be serviced. A few of these engines were most likely isolated. Fwwr Conductor

There were probably so ma y engines because he has to pick up more cars throughout the day, I once saw a UP manifest with 3 GE units and 5 cars blow through Mesquite at 60 mph!

+Charles Henry Peckham Could also be a power movement. I didn't know they blew thru mesquite so fast

DFWTrains typically they stick to about 25-35mph, so I don't know what he was gong so fast, the Amtrak blast through there at full speed I believe, which means those speeds are safe on that section

You should visit granbury road. And then go to Crowley road at the crossing there. Then then go to the right past the grocery store until you hit a small neighbor hood on the right. There will be a switch. If you look on the track the way you came an the other way you will think different. Oh and if you stay on granbury towards the hospital district next to Davidson you'll think different to.
