Pete, love ya man. I appreciate how you keep your followers in the loop with your direction of the channel and your family life. That being said, you are doing a monologue and I’m at 9:09 and we having gotten to any real grass content. I am sure you can look this up yourself but the videos I enjoy most and that I am excited about most are the ones that get to the point quick and show some grass stuff. Your channel used to be very educational to me. I feel like that’s not been what the videos are about lately. I watch a lot of lawn care KZbin and golf KZbin. The really popular channels have videos that are fun and engaging. Probably not near as much talking about non specific grass related or golf related topics. Not sure what the numbers are on the videos that have to do with grass renovation and maintenance but I bet they all beat any mower or other product reviews. Some of my favorite videos of yours are the ball field renovations where it’s more music and machines than talking. Just my opinion of what brings me to KZbin. I will continue to watch the remaining 11 minutes of the video but if it’s just you talking in your truck then I’ll probably get bored and move on. Stick with what made you great brother. I do want to make sure I end with I never would fault a man for putting away things in his life to spend more time with family. I would and have done the same.

Pete, i don't know what your other analytics are, but your subscription watch time is pretty good. A lot of people don't realize they aren't subscribed because youtube just keeps recommending your videos to them. That being said I can't thank you enough, 5 years ago I was going through a very depressing time, I use to hate mowing the grass. For some reason youtube started recommending your videos. Much like my life at the time my yard was in shambles. Because of your videos and teaching lawn care, i began to distract myself from life in the yard. Soon I became addicted to the journey and maintaining my lawn is now a hobby and great escape when needed. There are hundreds of channels that do homeowner focused lawn care with homeowner grade equipment. I'm not sure why someone would come to your channel and complain that you use the same equipment so many other creators are using. Personally, I enjoy seeing the commercial grade equipment, even though I'll likely never own commercial grade stuff, because it's interesting and shows some pretty sweet tech.

I found you a long time ago and I have learned a lot from you. But spending time with family playing Golf(something you obviously love) is not something anyone should be sad or upset over. You do you! I don't think you should look at the numbers and compare them from past videos. I think most people(myself included) really got into lawn care, and yard care in general during the pandemic. More people staying home, watching videos, finding new hobbies they could do at home etc. Make videos about things you want to make them about, the things you love to do. I am not into golf but will certainly continue watching all your lawn care stuff!

As an old man now and the kids are gone I did spend time with my kids as much as I could. Coaching teams and church youth while working 60 to 70 hours a week so my wife could stay home and be the CEO of our family. I still wish I would have spent even more time so family comes right after God. Go enjoy those kids and Thank you for helping me to have the yard I have now using your guide and supplies. Live your life the way you want to. Just finished phase 2 of fall overseed. Used said Sunjoe. Threw down GCI TTTF. Sprayed starter fert and trying Gravity PGS for the second time. Hey Pete. I have invasion of bentgrass. Will kill Grass in mid July with round up glysofate. Anything else I should use? Then wait about 10 days and mow low bagging. Then dethatch. Then mow again. Then you want me to aerate before seeding? I believe probably a very good idea. Go all four directions and seed on each pass after aerating? Will use starter fertilizer with metistrone. Did I miss Anything. Thank you

All the average homeowner needs is a sun Joe and a couple spare belts... Plus a good old-fashioned rake ...all those machines you have for dethatching nothing works as good as an old fashioned rake it goes every which way and not Just in straight lines an inch or two apart like the machines do.. but you can't be a cupcake you really have to put in a lot of effort with a rake and not be afraid to work up a sweat

If you do not spend time with your kids especially when they are young you will wake up one day and they will be gone on their own. I have twin boys and 1 girl. My job kept me away from home 15 days out of a month and the other time I worked from sunup to sundown. It seems like the kids went from birth to age 5 overnight. So, I decided to change my job. I made enough money from my first job by selling my interest in it and focus on my family. Now my kids are in their thirties and I had 25 years of enjoyment with them before they flew the coop. And still do.

Pete, don't blame you for spending more time with your family. That is time you can never get back if you miss out. I am not sure how you-tube works on payments to you. (Tied to subscriptions or views?) I am not sure you are seeing the whole picture though. The way I found you was going to bed in the evening and watching You-Tube how to videos on my Roku player for 1 hour every night. On the Roku videos, no subscription button or comments after. Just watched your videos. Because I was not subscribed does not mean you had no benefits. I just tallied up that I spent $2,204 with you in 2023 never having been subscribed to your KZbin channel. I would look at a bigger picture of how your sales increased in a time frame also. I did go on my computer this year and subscribe. I never subscribed in the beginning, being an antique, because I was worried about getting spammed. I think maybe your videos gave you more benefit than you think.

I don't think the ratio of subscriber view time has anything to do about your content. I think lawn care is something people look up one time do their project and move on. At the end of the day showing your videos presenting yourself as a lawn care professional is just good marketing. Showcase your portfolio of your largest jobs and most impressive large scale renovations. The other youtubers I see often recommend your products pointing at your larger scale results then add their DIY homeowner spin. Keep them interested in your products, your marketing is larger then you think even if you don't see the numbers directly on KZbin. I see GCI grass seed in many videos
