Also, PJ is making progress on Holiday House. Unfortunately, that includes crawling under the crawl space to fix the water line (a pretty crappy situation). Speaking of crappy situations, he also shares a pretty crappy story at the end (literally made me lol).

I tried to instill in my patients that crying is healthy. The tears of sadness are chemically different from the tears of joy. They would say they were afraid that if they started crying they wouldn't stop. I told them that they would eventually get tired and fall asleep. I LOVE a good cry!

This video gave me the chills! When we united our home with our four boys sometimes I thought that it was touch and go. It took several months for the kids ( 6 to 3 yrs) two professional working dad's to gel as one. This was in the late 80's and mental health pros proved their worth. We both resisted at first... but saw the real need and did what had to be done. Now that they are all grown up with families of their own we look back with thanks to the care given by our mental health providers ❤️. Now that we have EIGHT grandchildren we may need them again 😀😀😀. Blessings from New Orleans.

I get anxiety rashes, I pull the back of my hair when I’m anxious and I also pick at the skin on my fingers and bite my lips. I was diagnosed with ocd when I was a kid so I definitely relate to PJ. Hope it gets easier for you!

I watched Tyler and Todd’s video this evening immediately followed by your one, it’s striking that both couples are experiencing anxiety at the moment and so good that you are talking openly about the struggles coping with it. 20 years ago I had a major 3 year battle with anxiety and depression and didn’t want anyone to know about it. Looking back this was a huge mistake and I feel it actually made the situation much worse because I was expending so much energy pretending that everything was ok. Well done for being so open about mental health issues, almost everyone will experience this at some point in their life, ask for help, take the medication - a chemical imbalance can be corrected, and lastly, talk to someone, don’t bottle it up.

@@sophiarose7610 Every home in Michigan has a basement? We have basements in Indiana also....but not every home. Some are on slabs so you have no basement or crawl space. But the majority of the foundation homes here have crawl spaces, for plumbing, wiring, etc.

I also sorry so sorry to hear that you are both felling overwhelmed and going through so much stress with with anxiety. Before my father's passing in March 2012, I was always able to keep my emotions in check and seldom cry, but since his passing I find my self crying at at anything these days at a drop of a penny. Thomas, I always feel better when ( and I am 59 years old) I have a great cry for a great cry for me always releases my stress, my pined up anxiety, and my pinned up inner emotions. I always feel better when I have a good cry for it makes me feel better and sometimes my crying episodes on average lasts up to 15 minutes to a hour. What I am trying to say that is wonderful to have a great cry and it is normal to cry when a person is under a vest amount of stress and anxiety. I also want to thank the both of you for I owe you a great debt of gratitude for you have been a Godsend to me through your past videos on how to lower my stress level, treat my deep depression, and how to improve your my own mental health. And the both of you always made me feel like I was not alone as well. Take this from my first hand experience PJ, for I have been in and out of therapy for many years now and a great therapist and therapy always helps. Your are not alone for I also get the coffee movements as well. I always find that a glass of wine helps as well. That was a outstanding video !!!! Again I want to say the both of you are so great and wonderful. I want to send all my best to you both, your 3 children, and both your families. You both are terrific people, wonderful husbands- so supportive of each other- and great dads! Although life with kids and with all your projects you have going on, can be overwhelming, make sure you take time for yourselves. This is NOT being selfish! Hey guys love your vlogs ! As a father of 3 who was the stay at home dad, it is so important to remember that the bad days are still memories. My youngest is now 21and I miss that stuff so much. I started struggling with anxiety in my early 20s and resisted going on meds for years, not a great idea. I never knew when it was going to peak so I would decline social events or long trips. So so happy to finally start medication, new lease on life! More people then you can imagine deal with anxiety or depression. I’m sorry I had to miss the premiere because I was the middle of watching somebody else’s live stream at the same time. Great 'vlog' entry guys. Kids are adorable--yes, you are adorable too :-), sweet relationships among the whole family. BTW PJ...I too have been plagued by the urge to scratch my skin. I learned that what I was scratching was where I'd been bitten--by barely visible bugs (mosquitos, etc) and what I was reacting to was--get this!!, the bug's saliva! Wow! My dermatologist Rx'd a cream for me, and I no longer have the 'scratchies'. Might be the same for for you. Happy Holidays!!

PJ I can relate to what you said about asking for help. I needed to do the same recently. I work as a nurse in a busy hospital and we have several Covid pts to treat and I look after an elderly parent that I can't really quarantine myself from so things can be tuff. On a lighter note I had my boise speakers turned up so that fart was like a small sonic boom but the look on Thomas's face was totally worth it lol!

I just watched your newest addition to sharing your life’s unfolding dilemmas. Talking about mental health, stress, the tooth fairy and so on is so very touching. I am so grateful to be sharing your life with you. It reminds me so much what I went through with my boys, who would have been foster kids, but wound up to be awards of the state. Both boys are in their fifties and the three grandchildren are in their mid and late twenties. Being lucky and blessed brought tears to my eyes. I did or have the privilege of a companion, it was God and myself, so your life just invigorates me to realize there really are possibilities for Gay Families. I know several, all in your age group. Thomas, first of all, you are looking GREAT! Secondly, it is definitely understandable that you are feeling overwhelmed in this time. You all have a lot going on with all of your different projects, all the things going on with the kiddos, and simply everything going on in the world right now. It’s okay not to be okay sometimes. That doesn’t say anything about the magnificent job that you are doing holding your family up. That just says you’re human. As you said, as much as PJ is hard working (which he certainly is), so are you. And I’m sure they appreciate you so much. Thank you for being so vulnerable with us all. I think we are all going through an extraordinary time in our own way and sharing it sometimes lightens the load. PJ, as a counselor by profession, I’m so glad that you have given therapy and medication a try and I’m glad it is working for you. So many are understandably resistant but it can be very beneficial. There is no shame in needing therapy or medication. There is actually so much strength in acknowledging and accepting the need for help. As always, I am so impressed with everything that you all are juggling and working towards. I pray that everyone stays well and finds little pockets of peace whenever and wherever you can 💚💚❤️❤️

I think one of you said it was snowing ... but I don't really see any evidence of it; where I live, we already have a good foot of snow, and it all came upon us the weekend before Remembrance Day (your Veterans' Day)! This past year has been rough especially being a healthcare worker. Something I have noticed is when I get stressed out I begin to bite the inside of my lower lip. Just all the stress from working at the hospital I’ve noticed a few ticks and at times I come home and just cry because of so much stress at work.

It's not easy raising little ones. It really isnt. You guys jumped straight in with three! I'm honestly surprised you haven't cried until now. I would burst into tears at least 4 times a month. There's no question about that. You're superheroes. ! Even cry ....sometimes

My mom cried in the pantry due to stress, she had 5 at the time, we are 10 kids, my parents had 6 boys and 4 girls. We are a big fam. My parents have been together for 28yrs, no shame, talking about is the best, letting it out You guys are amazing, amazing parents, amazing hard working people God bless you and yours🥰😘

I don't know if others have noticed it but Pj always farts every video, it's almost a custom lol. Thomas's face is very funny when he does it. I also love that children call them Dads, I had not analyzed it. I don't think I'm a father but I understand Thomas when he says that he has moments of deep sadness when things don't start to turn out the way you expect them to, but I'm glad that you acknowledge it and ask for understanding. I believe that no father is perfect, they do their best and I believe that Thomas does the best he can just like Pj who is so hard-working and so loving at the same time. I think they both work so hard, each in their own way. I admire you both

Did PJ find his keys 🔑, and where were they ? Did he make it to his appointment on time ? You left us with a cliff hanger. I definitely think you guys make a great couple, you always seem to compliment each other , with your talents & abilities. I’m glad we get a small peek into your lives. The kids have grown physically, and in many other ways, in your care. I’m glad they found their way into your home. ❤️
