This was and still is a brillianly unique piece of music. I remember this video was played nightly before the 6 O'clock news for some time in the eighties. Jesse Rae even played The Town Hall in Tain, and I was there to see him live. A great night!!!

Had the great pleasure to open for Jess a couple time in 82 or 83 (can't remember exactly) supporting my first record while touring the British Isles. He was a gentleman and great talent way ahead of his time. He helped this yank feel right at home in a foreign land!! glad to see these vids again!!!

The girl nearest the camera is called Giles, she used to do the door for me at The Hoochie Coochie club, Scotlands first house and techno club. I was at the shoot for Chainsaw outside Buster Brown's back in 83-4ish? Never did understand Rae, as a serious funk collector this never cut it and I can assure you, you would never of heard a Rae cut at Rafters, Legends, Wigan Pier or any funk club for that matter. How Worrell & Troutman fell for this is beyond me???

I saw this on Max Headroom too back in 1985 and it stuck in my head till I found it on here years later. I also remember seeing Jesse doing a New Years Eve show for either BBC or Channel 4 around the same time. I'd love to see that footage again, but can't find it on here. Does anyone have it?

What you need now is a decent website and for your recent albums to have a proper CD pressing (like the excellent River Records issue of 'The Thistle'). Any chance? I bought 'No Surrender', 'Greatest Hits' etc. from you a few years back. Excellent stuff and worthy of a much wider release.
