My goodness Hannah, your garden even though you are cutting things back and overwintering things it is still so beautiful. I'm getting ready to cut back all of my perennial flowers and bushes and get things ready for our snow that will follow our colder weather. I have so many ideas for my yard next year thanks to all of the KZbinrs that I follow, and that makes me excited to style things next year when the weather is nice again. I love your videos and love to see all the things you are doing in the UK. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a lovely day, bye for now.

I'm doing some of the same this week. For my huge area of canna's once frost hits my Husband will use the tractor and mow down the stalks, and then a light mulching. Love the Cleopatra's! Here it's pansies and mum season, the garden centers are full of them. I just finished planting several dozen pansies around my garden, if it's a mild winter they will bloom all winter here. The chrysanthemums just bloom through autumn.

Natalie Butler it is but they will be bigger and better next year. I think it’s worse when you see them out in the freezing cold as it damages the leaves. They will be all snug now for winter. Temps are starting to drop at night now 😃💚🌴

Hi Hannah, Such a great video. So much care and attention went into your over wintering of your garden plants. As much as I love autumn I absolutely hate seeing my plants beginning to go dormant for the winter period. I miss them I guess 😂😂. Your garden is so beautiful and you can really tell how much effort that you have put into creating and maintaining it. Have you eaten any of your passion fruits ? Just curious I guess. Love your videos and was really looking forward to this one. I hope that you had some help to clear up afterwards 😁😁. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned next. 😁😁 Good luck with what over wintering you still have to get through.

Hi maybe a silly question do you have to drain water out of ensete maurelii if overwintering in side
@TropicalPlantAddict5 жыл бұрын
Iris Moles If you mean keeping it inside with all the leaves for the winter… It’s a bit difficult to drain the water out when the leaves are on the plant… I just barely watered mine when it was inside last year

Are coleus you can take cuttings of and water it root in water and then plant in some soil they make wonderful wonderful house plants as long as you have the humidity up pretty high to about 60% I had wonderful plants last winter in the house and then in the spring started taking cuttings and I must have had a hundred cuttings from about for mother plants

Really enjoyed your video. Just the information I was looking for. Unfortunately my very large Ensette died in the shed last year. I had covered it in straw? Have just purchased my first Colocasia Pink. Very small just 2 leaves think I will just leave as ot is until spring keeping it inside in the kitchen? Look forward to checking out all your previous videos Hello from North Wales 🤗
@TropicalPlantAddict4 жыл бұрын
tulip GB Thank you and welcome! I’ll be making an updated overwintering video soon. Regarding your banana… It was probably too wet and rotted… You have to turn them upside down to drain the water out of them before you store them for winter (they hold a ton of water). If you only just got your pink china yes maybe a good idea to keep it inside until next spring… They will be fine next year. Mine started off as two tiny plug plants last spring and now they have multiplied and are huge 💚🌿
@tulipgb53284 жыл бұрын
@@TropicalPlantAddict thank you for the reply Hannah. Yes you are right I didnt let the banana drain out ! With the colcasia do I water them sparingly & keep them relatively warm 💖
