Creative built, as always. :) A few things I think are missing: 1) definitely a fire station; 2) oil- and water storage tanks. A naval base always has their own storage; 3) and maybe you could also add that weather satellite station.

I'd like to see some officer and senior enlisted housing abutting the bases. Midcentury Modern or European Suburbia really fit the themes of most bases I've lived on. A couple Queens 1x2 or 1x3's could do really well for more modern troop dorms, too.

Great built 😀- Maybe you could include a submarine base as part of the naval base? You might be able to achieve this by using a tunnel entrance and then flooding it. Maybe create like small humps on the surface similar to the once Impatatur made on the air base.

I would like to see a swimming pool (Think naval training) and a cafeteria on the base. They usually also have a commissary. The officers with families have small modest homes that are genuinely identical.

3:25 Dubai’ish like touristic centre bay area with skyscrapers and large hotels, some shopping, casino, Lots of green, all connected with walking bridges across the bay. Monorail straight to and from the airport.

Curious what if any actual naval bases did you draw inspiration from? San Francisco does not have a naval base and hasn’t since the 40s lol. You’re thinking of San Diego, which is our second biggest base. Recommended naval bases for inspiration: Naval Station Norfolk, Naval Station Coronado, and Naval Station Mayport. They’re all extremely industrial looking so you hit that on the head. I think you’d be very surprised to find that the best assets for navy barracks (I find because I’ve built a few of these) are some level one vanilla high density buildings.

You could do a “Space Force” base in that little area close to the navy base to keep with the theme of military bases. Great build egg!

The immediate thought that comes to mind is a facility like the Los Alamos Research Laboratory: A former top-secret research institution. It would make sense to make it space-related. Maybe something about Alice Rings?

Swimming might have been a good sport for the sailors. If no one else mentioned it, 49ers is American football. For water/sea/ocean themed baseball, there is the Pittsburg Pirates and the Miami Marlins. Great build as always.

Man you are getting very creative in the later stages of this city. What a cool build! Maybe for that hidden valley you could do a vacation resort. Has a private beach, you can do some tall hotels, casinos, yoga gardens, spas ect. Might be cool to make it only accessible by train or ferry? I would say a private airport but orchid bay already has too many 😂

Fun idea. Military bases here in the states usually have everything a family would need. Grocery and chain restaurants, education, recreation single and multi family housing. San Francisco 49rs is their football team and the Giants are their baseball team

I think the adjacent valley makes sense as a little old fishing village with some fields out the backend. A small marina for some last remaining fishermen. Like two small restaurants and a tiny bar scene for tourists from the bigger city and navy personnel and just some degrading housing for the remaining residents. Maybe a single old sawmill

The Army and Navy Football game is a huge thing. American Football field would probably work good 😊 Very imaginative build!!🤩 Oh and maybe spell out Navy with fencing. Think it would be pretty easy!

Maybe the lore is those cruise ships are a disguise! Definitely could see a space station build on the other side of the mountain. Pairing some of the new treasure hunt assets with the old faithful launch site. Even some monorail as the mode of transit around the facility? And maybe that quay wall/path combo is the viewing area?

Cities Skylines could definitely use some military assets and a military DLC, it's real to life and a glaring thing that got left out of CS1.

19:57 The San Francisco 49ers are an American football team 😂😂😂. While San Francisco does have some Naval resources like a shipyard, you might be thinking of San Diego with its really extensive Naval installation. Baseball was my instinct for the build too, maybe because a high school friend of mine played for the Midshipmen in Annapolis before he served. The Navy also has a football team that plays against the Army's team every year in the Army-Navy game.

College American football has a team for each branch of service. Army, Navy and Air Force are 3 I know for sure. Don't follow any other sport well enough to know if they have a military named team. Great video 👍

Wonderful base! I think american football would also fit. But when you showed that secluded beach among the mountains I thought that would have made an even better naval base. But maybe some really hidden/secret location of some kind would fit here. :)

For the Lemonade Factory, I have an idea! In one of my builds, I did the Factory alongside a green cities residential/commercial development with a Parklife Nature Walk greenbelt surrounding part of it. Kind of like the Lemonade company was also a big proponent for Green Living, and sponsored a development.

Another addition to the base could be some select commercial picks as the naval bases I’ve been to have had grocery stores, gas stations, bowling alleys, etc. Fantastic build though, really great work

Now you have 3 different CS formats to enjoy. Vanilla CS1, modded CS1 and vanilla CS2. Is it difficult to go back to CS1? One thing I was thinking about watching this video is how much I love Orchid Bay. Mostly because each part of the city has a story to it, a history. When I start CS2 I plan on playing very slowly. I want to enjoy the new assets and gameplay. CS2 seems to have a faster pace than I am used to. I look forward to seeing how you develop a new series on CS2. Thanks for all the CS2 videos you are producing. I'm ready for CS2 now. I'm downloading it right now!

Where are the fuel tanks! Also I’d say go with a lavish neighbour hood complete with the aviation club and some helicopter shuttles to downtown or a hotels and retreats themed area! Leave the space center for somewhere which is flatter!

Navy would be more American football oriented. Army and Navy have a huge football rivalry here and actually Navy is usually the more dominant team. I feel like there is so much industry in the city but a HUGE demand for residential. Just a thought

So I’m a courier and on one of my trips the other day I got to see a suburb that had a tennis and swim club within the community. So I would like to see a suburb built around a lake with a large tennis and swim club. 😂👏🏽
