@Mateo-wf1yz
@Mateo-wf1yz Жыл бұрын
@@Laxim19 Solved the problem! I think this is a Windows 11 issue. If one dont enable the undervolt protection in Bios the intel XTU program wont start. And if its enabled one cant set a lower voltage on the cpu core. However, its says on startup: Ensure you have latest bios, uppdated windows and have undervolt protection enabled in bios. OR, check the status of these incompatible OS features: - Core isolation is enabled, See windows security (link) for details. I will try disable the core isolation feature in win 11 (require restart) and then report back if it works. Yes, disabling Core isolation fixes this and Intel XTU program starts even if undervolt protection is disabled in bios. Just click the link in the popup when Intel XTU starts and complains, Link named "Windows security". It takes you to the Core isolation where you can enable/disable it. Its probably a reason its enabled though so after the lower core voltage is set and tested working you probably should set it back to Core isolation: Enabled. Hope this helps you all.

How did you undervolt it? The Intel Extreme Tuning Utility won't load unless Undervolt Protection is turned on in bios, and that prevents setting the voltage offset to a negative number.

I wonder what would be our CPUs like 10 years later from now. We are almost at 6Ghz barrier with newer CPUs without bad temps and stabilisation issues. When I bought my 6700k 6 or 7 years ago, 4 Ghz base clock was awsome thing and overclocking it to 5 Ghz or 5.2 Ghz was overkill. Nowadays CPUs support 5Ghz or 5.6 Ghz speeds as default with turboboost and if you have good cooling solution you can reach 5.8 or 6Ghz easily. Probobably we are going to use 6Ghz as default and we can overlock it to 7Ghz or more. That's amazing.

this video helped a lot i haven't upgraded my computer since like 2012 aside from the gpu (i7 4790k beast!) and am going to be jumping up to a 13900k/s or maybe a 7950x3d (probably gonna stick with intel though) and all I've heard is "you need to underclock this, lower voltage that, 360mm+ All In One watercoolers only, these things reach 100c temp etc etc" and I'm like oh man... but that's just when running full cinebench/aida stuff on extreme max possible limit loads, and never anything about what full 4k/etc GAMING is gonna be like. i always thought undervolting would make it unstable if you went higher core clocks because there's less juice, but it seems like its not a factor at all. I'm confident that a nhd15s or h150i capellix will be just fine for a 13900k/s and a tiny bit of basic/compact overclocking like this.

I've always wanted to overclock my CPUs, but was always afraid to do it from the BIOS. Every time I looked at tutorials, it always seem so complicated. With this new Intel app that allows you to overclock from your desktop, it seems a lot more user-friendly. Really simple to overclock the 13600k in bios, all P cores at 5.5/5.6/5.7GHz with undervolt and sub 80°C temps (280mm AIO)Just three settings. In game temps will be 20°C lower than Cinebench temps. As long as you have sufficient cooling and quality components it's a lot of fun. Go up in small increments and well, I've never damaged an Intel CPU and my old ones are still going strong in various relatives PC's.

For all those wondering bout crashes when overclocking, there is ABSOLUTELY no rule that it has to work. I can run my CPU with 1,14V, 6Ghz on single core and 5.5 GHz allcore. If I want to go 5.6 allcore I need 1.32V. 5.7 GHz cant be reached even with 1.4V. Try to undervolt, its much more efficient.

Well, great video and well explained. Definitely recommended for "newbies". However, I don't think CPUID HW/Monitor is a sufficient program and I don't understand why you wouldn't use HWInfo, for example, which is definitely the better program and provides much (more important) information, especially when it comes to the "actual temperature" of the CPU and packages. Otherwise, the mainboard tool that shows the temperature is sufficient, but is usually a different or incorrect value that can differ by 10 degrees or more depending on the CPU, mainboard and clock speed. Also, Cinebench is a good tool that provides clues, but it is not a suitable and meaningful program in terms of stability for either UV or OC. For most gamers, this is certainly sufficient and will probably only cause BSODs or similar in very few cases. Proper UV and OC cannot be done in a few minutes, let alone with a few short tests, because with the 13th and 14th generation in particular, a lot more is required if you want a stable and perfect system. The XTU is well explained and easy to understand.

To make the 13900K worth the price you paid for it, you really do need to overclock it. Make sure to cool the unit with something like a Corsair 360mm Cappellix AIO with a digital read-out right on the cooling head.

I don’t know what to do anymore for my cpu I have a 13700k and my cooler is a Corsair h150i 360mm AIO and under stock settings cinebench makes it hit 100C immediately. Ive undervolted a ton I believe right now my current voltage settings are 1.265 and an offset of -.145 and temps would still hit 95-97C. The only thing that has brought temps down was limiting the short turbo boost power limit and bringing it down to 230W instead of 253W brought temps down to 86-90C even with the maintained undervolt. Whereas I’ve seen people say just undervolting their cpu with an offset of -.150 has brought temps down 15C but it just doesn’t do that for me. I know it’s not because of a bad mount or a dead AIO because my idle temps are perfectly normal 36-40C and so are my temps while gaming I’ve never seen above 70C but something about running a 100% load makes it want to run super hot no matter what I do

@@Hardwaretuned It does use up 100% of raw power of your cpu, but it's using an instruction set specific to its 3D renderer. There are many different instructions that software can use that can become unstable even if Cinebench is stable. Another point of view is - people who actually use Cinema 4D for their work would never overclock because stability is more important than a few % of speed when your work is on the line.
