They're at a con this weekend. That's why this one was done in a car. Brad said that he prefers the new format, overall. The new format is more accommodating now due to everyone on the site being older and having more responsibilities and different schedules and there being fewer people on Team Snob in general. We're not going to see a magical return of the car just because of nostalgia.

I don't see Brad going back to the car format full time; he has legitimate reasons for switching formats; it's harder to get everyone together to do car -based reviews and the Friday Night Movies format is more accommodating to peoples' schedules. I don't see what the big deal is; as long as we get Brad, his friends, the jokes, the references and the snark then I'm satisfied.

Tamera's laugh is the best. She's was a great guest as well. And I had the same Christian School experience so I just had a nostalgia trip. On occasion it was hilarious. I don't believe in that but boy did I learn. Colby, Bible man. Deception of A generation... oddly shown to us in 8th grade. At least it was harmless crazy. Not whatever this crap is.

@@overlookers i would disagree with that: the redux is great in portraying the psychological spiraling, and the french plantation (particularly the dinner) works great in showing the fragmentation of the mind (or between the supposed allies in the movie narrative). And more Marlon Brando is a treat (or at least i like it very much).

I need a Cinema Snob/Nostalgia Critic/HyperFanGirl collaboration for McGee and Me. That's my nostalgic Christian movie. It's BS, but it was the first Christian production that actually attempted to be current and cool. It had the late 80s-early 90s Christian rock music I grew up with. Fortunately, DC Talk, the greatest Christian group of all time, avoided this super cringey stuff - unless they worked with Carman. They were always either with or ahead of their time when it came to the actual music. But McGee and Me is classic, cool, Christian cheese. I'm not into the whole thing anymore, but I respect DC Talk and McGee and Me, even if I cringe at Focus on the Family and everything they stand for.

The only Kendrick Brothers film I saw was "Facing the Giants", their 2006 football movie. It's pretty much what you'd expect, only so goddamn predictable (which it knows it is and drags the absolute shit out of it's predictability). I went to go see "Ready or Not", and the theater next to us was playing "Overcomer" both before "Ready" and after, with the door all the way open! I could hear some of the lines and was like, "Oh, dear." Coming out of "Ready or Not", I thought for a minute, about sneaking in to see a couple minutes, but I had better things to do, so I didn't.
