March 1st, I had my first panic attack. It propelled me into a nightmare of similar symptoms, agoraphobia and losing complete connection with myself. I went from the life of the party to afraid to sit on my patio. I have learned of some legitimate health concerns but even going to doctors became a huge deal to pump myself up to do. I’m still struggling and my adrenals are shot. I hope to plug in, watch more videos and heal. I hope everyone who comments here finds healing as well. We can all get better! We will get better:)

What helps me is to remember that if something is seriously life threatening, like an actual symptom, you're not going to be conscious enough to type/google/talk/walk/roll around on the floor or whatever you're doing lol. I count to 90 seconds and once I'm there it proves to me I'm entirely safe, because anything medically serious would incapacitate you much quicker than that. You can also try running around your house or if you have a yard. Notice all the things you are able to do that someone having a medical emergency CANNOT do. The other thing that helps is paying attention to the fact you can get the same symptoms from anxiety in other situations and it wouldn't bother you. For example, if you run a mile, you will have a fast heart rate, narrowing/dim vision, struggling for air, heavy legs, and lightheadedness/dizziness. Your gym teacher would say that's perfectly normal and a sign of a good work out. It's not bad for your body to feel that way. You just triggered the same response based on your environment. YOU ARE COMPLETELY SAFE. YOUR BODY IS COMPLETELY SAFE. EVERYTHING IS COMPLETELY FINE!

@brittanysunflowerbby I wrote this about 3 months ago when I truly didn't understand what was going on with me, had my heart checked up which came out okay, no issues observed by the doctors. Still going through the racing heartbeat (I can feel it banging/pounding at times) but now I do have a better understanding of it being tied to my anxious thoughts and anxiety in general, thank you and Shaan again for opening my eyes to what's going on with me! I have only experienced anxiety like once every a year or once every other year. Each time the symptoms have been similar. I burned out about a month ago and that showed up as anxiety symptoms. This time I had new symptoms I had no experienced before including the snowy / speckled vision, dizziness (feeling like I was on a boat), skipped heartbeats, and head and ear pressure and ears popping. I went to two different doctors and all of my results were good / normal. It’s so comforting to hear from people who have experienced similar symptoms. It is honestly really helping me to get out of my head about my symptoms and to fully recover. Thank you for sharing!

The moment she mentioned DARE & especially Dr. Yonit’s Steady Coach, I felt like cheering happily while shedding tears at the same time! These two are my earliest resources for recovery during my anxiety peak. Dan Buglio’s Pain Free You & Jim Prussack’s The Pain PT are also awesome resources that all lead to the same thing - nervous system sensitization, or whatever term of similar meaning. They may occupy different space, applying arguably unnecessary tools for recovery, but I always believe they lead to the same goal - helping people recover. These are 2nd Generations Mentors I would say as most has earlier mentors or references. & including Shaan’s & team, legend! Yo man just like her, I came from the dizziness/vestibular space yet stay with one (here!) & yeah true other channels also solidify that main symptoms/pain only initiate the awareness to deal with the sensitize nervous system issue. I love their resources, I really I do. But having my own reasons, I stay with one.

It is scary, but it comes back. Apply the acceptance of feeling like shit. Never entertain the content of the thoughts, instead, ignore what they say and stick to your definition of a joyful life, write it down if necessary. Then, just keep on living. You will feel like crap, but it is important to resume life and not staying home brooding. That is the way recovery has worked for me: stick to your definition of life, there are no truths except for the one that you create for yourself, keep living and keep playing. Thoughts and sensations are just that, they are not validators of truth. Just accept their presence but don't control them, debate them or worry about them (although make sure you have anxiety and not something else, go to the doctor and get checked of course). Keep living and keep playing, might as well, right? You'll recover and get better! ❤❤

I’m at a point where I have accepted what’s happening to me and just getting on with my day even if I feel super anxious and dizzy and emotional and heart racing. But I have a set back every time I get chest pain and I feel my heart pounding. That’s so debilitating to me….i try to let it be and take its course but at that moment I feel so much pain I start thinking it’s my heart and it triggers more anxiety symptoms. It’s hard for me to trust myself that it’s just my anxiety when I’m having chest pain and my heart pounding and making me dizzy.

I can feel fine, like I'm fully recovered, then I get a physical symptom and I feel like I'm back to square one until it passes. Current ones are dizziness, head/facial pressure , heart flutters, sometimes can't take a deep breath without coughing......just had blood tests, sinus mri, brain mri, ecg, heart monitor....waiting on results is really scary and hard.....trying to not think about it, not easy. In short, I'm FINE without symptoms. Why can't they just go away, it's so tiring, scary and depressing!

Unfortunately they won't go away if you keep fearing them, fighting them, etc. You have to accept them and know will come back on occasion. Recovery is not linear and those moments of a setback are even more important to double down on responding correctly. Hope this helps! You've got this!

Disappointing for me, because it was strange to me that it is half a year from April to September and she is already recovered, that she worked on herself and at the end she says that she takes Zoloft antidepressants. It didn't occur to me how quickly, so it's not the real healing with your work and your method, when she takes antidepressants, it means that the drugs helped her get rid of many symptoms.

Medication won’t stop the cycle completely, it gives people a bit of relief but it doesn’t change the way you react to anxiety. Which is something you need to learn to fully overcome. Medication doesn’t do that. That’s why doctors recommend medication and therapy , not only medication.
@erikobj
@erikobj Жыл бұрын
@@GuadalupeGomez-ms6uo a I know what drugs are and how they work and what therapies are, but as long as there is a drug, it does a lot of work for you. The point here is that I believed in this technique, that people can get over it without antidepressants, not that they take antidepressants and recover themselves with the technique, that is a lie. If she got rid of 40 symptoms in half a year, it would be a great miracle, but she is basically on medication

I will say 8 months in now that it takes a long time to fully recover. There were still times after this where the symptoms would come back. Once you start applying the principles of what shaan is teaching you can recover very quickly, which I did. I was shocked at how much better I felt righr away, but it can take a long timw to fully reset your nervous system. For clarification I was on 25mg of an SSRI which isn't even a typically starting dose and I'm now down to 12mg and feel fine. It can help lesson the volume of symptoms in the beginning I feel but it's not the solution to long term healing. Hope this helps clarify!

@alecempire8982every circumstance is different. For me I was put on 25mg, which is not even a starting dose for most doctors and am now down to 12mg. I would say it had minimal influence for me overall. I just wanted people to not feel shame if they made that choice to take spme medication. I think a recovery story later on is a great idea! In all reality it can take a long time to fully reset.
