Thanks for talking about your struggles and feelings and letting us know a few more facts about you! Bullies are ignorant. Your hair is beautiful anyone that says anything different aren't worth knowing.

+JuiceMyRandomness Thats wonderful! I will be more than happy to hare it when you upload it. I am so glad to hear i have given you the confidence to talk about your eating disorder. This was one of the reasons i decided to make the video, I wanted to help others feel able to talk about their own eating disorders and mental health conditions. i was terrified of sharing this, but the response has been immense and I am so grateful that it has helped x

Great video! You really give good insight about how someone slips into anorexia. I'm in the U.S. and we have far too little mental health care options here; virtually none, and it is sad. Very brave of you to discuss the topic, and thank goodness you were able to overcome!

I didnʻt realize so many VI would have that too (same would go to asperger or asd - itʻs been surprising to discover how many people with various eye - or ear - issues are on the spectrum). Also... Been there. I swam a ton. Now itʻs a bit weirder, not really having a clue what I look like. So new ways of coping... Running helps me. I love that there are so many Vai fashion bloggers (like you) that can explain whatʻs in and how to apply makeup properly or just discover all other tips for how to feel pretty.

+Unuhi Nuiʻi I often think disabilities and their links is an area which does not get explored, like you say with other examples. So, I think that this needs to change. Running is great, I've actually started back swimming and I love it. Thats great, I'm pleased that my work is helping. If you ever have any ideas or want me to cover anything specific let me know and I may all do it in the future.

Hi fashioneyesta, I think you are an inspiration! I love watching your videos. My son has SOD, we are lucky as he has good sight but he has some other disabilities. Do you have any videos about your childhood and school experience while dealing with your disabilities? I don't have any disabilities and the learning aside hated school, bullies etc. I was painfully shy, my son is also like this. I found my confidence AFTER leaving school. Although a-level years were the best. I worry about my son. I would be miserable if i felt he had to go through being made fun of because of his eyes. He is also a bit clumsy low muscle tone and seeing that he is quite shy i'm considering home schooling. Id love to hear what your advice would be. You know first hand how it feels to be different and going to school.

This is a subject of which I have no personal knowledge or experience, so this is a very interesting and informative video. I've seen how steroids cause weight fluctuations, because my father was on them for a considerable part of his life. But anorexia isn't something I've encountered, fortunately. So thank you very much for sharing this Emily. It will be extremely useful to those who have, or have previously had, experience with the condition. And for people like me who don't have the experience, it's very educational. If I should ever meet anyone who has or who develops anorexia, I will feel much more well informed about it because of this. :)
@fashioneyesta8 жыл бұрын
+Well Eye Never I think that this is an area which often gets overlooked, people don;t actually realise what steroids can do. I am thinking about making a video on some of the side effects i personally encountered when on steroids. I'm glad to hear you know where I'm coming from. I'm so pleased to hear that this video has helped and it has been both useful and educational. Thanks so much for your comment xx
@WellEyeNever8 жыл бұрын
+Fashioneyesta I agree, and I think that's a very good idea. People often think of steroids as being used by athletes to enhance performance, but there's lots more to them. They're very powerful, and very dangerous if not properly prescribed. My dad had them to control a very rare condition (Behcet's Syndrome), and they affected things like his weight, eyesight, skin condition, blood flow and immune system. He was eventually able to come off them after a couple of decades, and his weight did go back down, but other effects remained with him. Like many drugs, their effects can last a lifetime in one way or another, so people need to be very careful with them.

Another one captioned for you Emily. It's a very brave, informative and important video, so the more people it can educate and help, the better. :)

How did you feel about your change of mindset with food? From positive to negative! I have always described anorexia as a voice that gets louder and louder till its screaming in your ear and blocks everyone else out so when you described it as not being able to hear anyone I was like omg!
@fashioneyesta8 жыл бұрын
+JuiceMyRandomness I feel that I treat food as a friend, I don't binge, but I know that its there to help me get on with my life and that it can also be fun. So I try to have a healthy relationship with both excise and food :) I know what you mean, it does feel like a little voice in the back of your head and it gets more difficult to silence it out as the anorexia develops.
@JuiceMyRandomness8 жыл бұрын
+Fashioneyesta food has to be a friend! When it's an enemy I don't like the odds of me winning the fight so I totally get what you mean. Food is SOOO much fun so much to explore and create with food?

It's cool. That you have naturally red hair. My mom has naturally red hair :-). I always ask people who have red hair if that is their natural hair color. One time I met someone (my mom's friend) who had NATURALLY red hair. Well the way I phrased it, it sounded like i was asking her if her hair was real. LOL!!!! Another time, I was playing with my dolls with a girl. There was a doll I had who had red hair (and a really cool hairstyle). Well, I told the Girl that I was going to play with the red haired doll. Well, she told me "Ew...You like red haired people?" I was like "Well...My mom has red hair so yeah I do." FATALITY!!!!! Oh and I am from the US and I saw that documentary that you were talking about on KZbin.
